A lot of newer vehicles cut throttle if you press the gas and the brake at the same time. Itâs to prevent old people from hitting both at the same time and ramming straight in to a McDonaldâs. Thatâs my thought at least.
Damn, that sucks. Iâve hopped in mine, thrown it in neutral and rolled it down the driveway without starting it. Iâve done this with many other manual trans vehicles and the Bronco is bad at stopping with no vacuum.
Whether throwing it in gear and letting the clutch out would have stopped you...
Well, yeah. You canât compare results from different dynos. Even the same dyno on a different day will vary. The first run it made 470 tq. on the same dyno.
âMixesâ with the charged air?! It doesnât mix with anything. The intake air gets pressurized in the compressor side of the turbo and heats up. The colder it is going in, the colder it is going out. Youâre asking more from your intercooler with hotter intake temps, leading to quicker heatsoaking...
You think each tire is exactly the same diameter and theyâre all spinning at the exact same speed? Even going in a straight line, 4H on dry pavement is unnecessary and causing stress on your driveline.
Metal contracts when itâs cold and expands as it warms up. It seems as though cold temperatures contract a part/parts enough to cause a tolerance issue and initially expose the sound being heard. Thatâs my guess at least.
Mine started doing this with 8k miles now that itâs starting to get below freezing. Noise stops once pressure is put on 6th gear or itâs in 6th gear. Iâm waiting for an actual resolution to come out, rather than replace it with another transmission with bad bearings.
