I just installed the R/C hidden winch with their 12k Pro winch on my 2.3 2dr.

The only time I see in the instructions that you remove the controller box and use the R/C supplied bracket to relocate to the D/S of the winch is on the 2.7 application. Is this what you are referring to?
5yrs, 5mths, 5days, 5hrs, 5min, 55secs.
In between, A ton of emails to change your order or get cancelled, dealer forgetting to add half of what you requested, train derails, your Bronco is on said derailed train, Ford requires new order.
Then the clock starts all over!
Plan for the worst...
There was additional parts not used as this kit is for multiple applications with the Bronco. The plastic bumper, the steel bumper or R/C bumper, and the 2.7 or 2.3. So I did not need all of the parts. The bumper mounting plates are decent for reinforcement of the plastic bumper model.
Well I received the winch mount today instead of Monday. So I went to work on the install.
First, after removing the ABS skid plate (LOL) I went to work removing the frame extenders (2) with a 4.5" hand grinder. Just a warning to all, make sure you wrap the brake line with a towel or the like...
Total wt for both winch and mount is roughly 110lbs, so I'm not expecting much of any effect on posture. If there is, it will be minimal, but we will know in a couple days.
Yes sir, should be pretty straight forward as long as fit and finish is good. Got to go tomorrow to buy some 1' battery cables to run from the switch to the battery. Also going to purchase some metal to make the switch mount. Will post build and progress pics.
I would not trust the AUX switches for the winch. The motor amps is 360, I'm no electrician, but that seems to be a huge draw on a 30 amp switch. Maybe someone else has better advice than me. The marine switch I bought is rated at 400 amps, so I know that will work.
Well I received my R/C 12k Pro S winch today. The hidden mounting kit will be here on Monday. It only took 2.5 months to receive due to R/C supply and demand issues.
I also purchased R/C shackle thimble, and a blue anodized winch base fairlead. Lastly I bought a marine battery cut off switch to...
Yes Curtis and AR are in talks with Ford since this product came out. But Curtis has been keeping us a breast as updates come available. So stay patient and the order banks will open soon.
@Tricky Dick all I will say about your bent bumper mounts 2.0 is this. If you end up bending these 3.0's, you are banned from ever using a winch again until you go to winching school and get certified as a winch whore.
With my OCD for aesthetics, I would get a tad shorter set of through bolts...
Where did you hear AR is officially done with making these? It has been stated many of times in this thread that AR is clearing out the pre-orders and will once all caught up begin new order acceptance.
Take a frontal pic of the whole front suspension so we can see your LCA angles and everything else. I would like to see your upper and lower ball joint angles while at rest with wheels straight. Then if you have a buddy around, take new vid of both left and right UCA & LCA while dry steer full...
