Big thumbs up on going "Wimbledon White" here instead of Oxford White. Every time I see someone who has painted the top or grille Oxford white it looks way too harsh/bright to me. I was hoping a cream-white would look more complimentary to the retro roots and those accents do look perfect...
still waiting for the magic ticket email. Seeing more and more around town has me hopeful though, my count is up to 8 different ones so far... gotta do something to keep myself amused in the meantime
this is the first time i've almost regretted not getting the OBX. Man that looks good.
(no offense to you OBX folks, my dealbreaker need for washout interior just took most of the trims off the table from the start)
Thanks! I've only seen 2-Doors so far but I'm sure a 4-door is in the works (if not already out somewhere that I just haven't seen). I got that one from Amazon, though other people have found them at Sam's and Costco. However, after spending far too much time taping off everything not-green...
It’s the new paint everywhere that it’s green - it was originally an Antimatter Blue model. 2 coats each of primer, color, and clear coat.
It’s going to look as good in the California sun as it does in the Florida sun, I’m sure… Bronco team Sunshine State(s)!
some photos of the 1:18 Bronco painted with the Eruption Green touch up paint in sun and shade (now that we finally had sun again here). Tried to get photos from several different angles so you can get the full effect of the color shift which is... basically completely different all around the...
I definitely ordered them. just because the floor it comes with is washout/rubberized doesn't mean it isn't going to show wear. plus its easier to clean out/dump the smaller messes when they're contained in the floor liner.
I used the spray cans from Touch Up Direct: https://touchupdirect.com/touch-up-paint/ford/bronco/#pf-year=2022&pf-color=214655
I will try to get some pictures posted this evening... my cell phone camera did a terrible job at picking up the actual color (and picked up way more of the gold than...
florescent lights/shop lights (and maybe overhead lights in general) seem to bring out the gold flop FAR more than natural light does. unless you are planning to park it in your living room 24/7 to stare at, I wouldn't be too worried.
Following @Prest33 ’s lead, I also bought paint touch up cans and painted my Maisto model EG - in my case, mostly so I could reassure myself that the gold flop wasn’t as offensively “surprise, this whole thing is Yellow-green-:poop: colored” as it looked like it might become in some photos.
i...
The Bronco emblem on the back will be chrome on the big bend, so the chrome script would at least match that. That’s tentatively the route I’m going too, unless EG looks less like black would disappear on it in person. In that case I’d also swap the back emblem to black and get the black...
@AutoFanatic43 thats good to hear! they've been great in my conversations with them so far too, I've just been reading too many "I got screwed by so-and-so-auto" posts on bronco FB groups I think.
Did any of you guys get your Bronco through World Ford? If so, any issues with them honoring MSRP/not trying to sell your reservation out from under you? I haven't heard anything about them either way, and with all the horror stories from other dealers recently if they're being sketchy I'd...
i'm 5'6" and was able to test drive a MT badlands at my dealer. no issues, its an easy clutch and the shift pattern is tight. I probably had to move the seat up closer in the bronco than with my previous MT mustang, but not nearly as close as i have to get with The Dudes MT F150. its a...
I'm pretty sure this will be both the last gas-powered vehicle I own and the last manual transmission vehicle I own since I keep vehicles for 10+ years and most auto makers 10-year plans are pushing toward all-electric. I'd like to say its staying forever. realistically though, around the 14...
On the one hand, I am a person who actually enjoys driving and I completely agree - people are crap drivers and I'd rather they get better instead of me have to constantly turn off the lane-drift corrector thing that fights me when I try to exit the interstate. On the other hand, as a...
yeah, our area plus MS/LA are conspicuously absent. I really don't want to drive 5-8 hours to the second "First City" or Orlando to see one. I mean I will, I just don't want to.
