First, convert it from ab to abt so FORScan will recognize it. Then go to IPC as built format, select load all and flash it. FORScan will parse the entire file and apply only the IPC relevant info to it and ignore the rest.
I had the same thought process initially. However, based on how @Ducati1098 did it with via a PMI using the VIN of a 2025, FDRS will configure the module based on the VIN used, which is why @coadr used the ab data from a 2025 to configure his IPC and not his own.
@scrumdidlyumptious It's difficult to say what is causing the issue without knowing what the shop did. Do you know if they used a harness to get the signal for the amp, or did they tap in to one of the existing speakers and if so, which one?
On the 2025 trucks, the 7 speakers base system in...
Pardon my ignorance, but can't you just call a parts department and give the VIN to a random one being sold on a used car lot or something? Or are these somewhat controlled because of possible odometer fraud?
I do not recommend you use anything cheaper than a Mongoose. Be patient and you can find a used one on eBay or Ford forums for $300-$400. I have seen countless people brick modules using these cheap cables. Just last month, I had to mail out one of my Mongooses to a member on the F150 forum who...
The guy with the F150 had some drivers from a cheap knock-off cable installed that was preventing the Mongoose from being detected and was able to get it to work. Not sure what could be going on in your case, tbh.
Strange. I have several Mongooses that I loan out to people on the forums. A member on the F150 forum just received one of them in the mail today and said FDRS is not recognizing it at all. He tried it on two different laptops and nothing. I wonder if there is something going on on Ford's side?
No idea. It's been that way since Sync 4 was released in 2020. Ford does a lot of things that makes no sense. They may have a reason as to why they do it that way but we don't know what the reason is.
Even if the dealer agreed to do the updates for you, they would have trouble doing it. For...
Unfortunately, Ford has made some recent changes where we cannot run the VIN of a vehicle in the UAE or anywhere outside the US market or it gets our FDRS accounts banned. The problem I have seen for people in your region (even with FDRS) is that FDRS will sometimes not generate the manifest...
Not sure if you guys are still having issues signing in or not, but I just signed in again with no issues. In case it helps, here is the installer for the version of FDRS I am using...
True. I know for PTS you need to add something to the user name now. The thing is, ever since Ford screwed me over and took away a bunch of privileges with the Ford login I use, I can't even log into FDRS with it anymore, so I was logging in with my regular email like these guys would be and I...
Seems like the TCU or GWM (or both) are hung up in a funky state. Disconnect the negative battery cable from your 12v battery for 20 minutes and then try checking for updates again. This will force a hard reset of all modules including those two.
The first one seems to be third party vendor because it says Infotainment. Those guys know what they're doing, but they aren't cheap. Maybe cheaper if you go through them directly.
The other one based on the FORScan screenshot they have and the price, I don't think that's what you're looking...
Unless you have a bench, you cannot program the APIM. I'm not an expert at this, but I can tell you that you can't just throw any APIM in there. It would need to have matching software to the sync version your truck has now. If that APIM is say two versions behind your current one, it will...
The OP of the post says he is in EA, so yea......it may be early access only.
Once they release it in FDRS, it will be an easy fix for anyone comfortable with FORScan. The ACM is a very quick and easy flash. I haven't checked the VINs of any 2025 Broncos since this first arose to see if an ACM...
