Well I ended up making use of the 20% discount on Ford accessories that ended yesterday to order a set. I looked for take-offs local but none for 2dr. And those I found further wouldn't ship or would have been same price as just buying them with the discount.
So i'll be able to keep the step...
Yeah I wouldn't have seen since I didn't configure online and/or order. I probably would have missed that anyway lol.
So dumb. They could have easily just figured out a way to add inserts to the rock rail, or have a version of the rock rail with threaded inserts for the hoop step option.
I didn't realize this, and not that I had a choice since I bought off the lot, but I might have gotten them anyway had I ordered.
Turns out the hoop step rail option is NOT a rock rail with a removable step bolted onto it.
I'm a bit disappointed. Someone is going to remove them and think they...
My dealer couldnāt do X-plan. I bought an incoming dealer order unit. I didnāt order. Paid MSRP which I was ok with. Snuck in under the price increase at least.
Actually had bought a JLU Rubicon in early 2022 due to the long waits for Broncos... But I'm back having just bought a 2dr Badlands 2.7 (and trading in the Jeep). I'm stoked and here are the benefits for me over the JL...
- 2dr Bronco has an almost 4" longer wheelbase vs the 2dr JL
- 2.7 TT V6...
Yeah sadly.
I did sit in one while I was waiting for the paperwork on my BL. VERY nice. The materials are definitely up a notch vs the regular ones. The seats and steering wheel were particularly nice. Guess thatās what double the price of a āregularā. Bronco gets you. š
Man I LUCKED out!!! I picked up my 2dr Badlands from dealer inventory they had ordered. Built in May 2023. Sticker had the old pricing and that's what they sold it to me for. I bought this past Saturday.
Building the exact same config now on the Ford site:
- base price went up $750
- 10 speed...
Canāt imagine the delays and long lead times that will occur if a hybrid is released. Iām not interested at all but I bet there will be lineups of people just waiting for it.
The Wrangler 4xe is one of the top selling hybrids. Would expect a Bronco to be at least as popular if not much more so.
