Hmm. Might be the closeup shot making it look this way then. And if I recall correctly, the overlander build had custom rims, which I'm guessing are wider than stock ones.
That thing sticks out quite a bit despite the Sasquatch rim/tire combo. Seems like they can make it somewhat shorter, which should help folks worrying about garage space length wise.
Just curious. Why do you even think it might be a pricing error? 4.7 is just a different drive ratio. It's not like you're getting extra hardware or something that has higher cost to the manufacturer.
I would happily drop the analog speedometer for a bigger screen behind the wheel as a higher trim option if it were to be offered. In fact, this is what I had assumed from the high-level instrument panel.
Didn't know that. Probably for the better considering the washout floors no matter what they do to direct excessive water away from the vents.
Too bad for folks who will regularly carry rear passengers though. I understand their disappointment.
Still intent on getting in CO, but that CbG looks great with the MIC top. Everything matches perfectly. The top, the body, beauty rings on the wheels... Even the roof rails look great on it.
Not all that scientific with perspective and all. But I measured the length of 4dr BL with a 33" A/T spare tire on the back as 188.4" (just 1" shy of the official 189.4" figure) with a scaling app, based on the known wheelbase of 116.1".
Like I said, there's an error margin. So take this with...
Hmm. Why would 4dr WT have a different length in that case? FWIK, it shares the same bumper as Base and BB. Then again, this is from an old PDF. Also, since backup camera is at the tip of the spare tire mount, it would be strange for it not to be included in the length.
I'm torn between a 2dr BL in CO with all bells and whistles, and a somewhat budget BD, which I know will be more than enough for me.
Plan A: 2dr BL in CO w/ Lux package ($53.4k)
2.7 w/ 10-speed auto
Optional wheels w/ beauty ring
Lux package
Sound deadening headliner
Tow package
Floor liners...
I'm surprised by this as well. In all other photos, 33" looked more than enough for BL. Now I think there's too much gap, especially at the rear. Good for articulation of course, but doesn't look quite right. Maybe it's just the perspective.
4dr is definitely the better looking one with the roof off. But unless you Sasquatch it, 4dr looks like a limousine to me. I noticed roof rails also help with the stance on the 4dr. I think it's the angle of the roll bar in the back that makes the 2dr look worse with the roof off. I guess it has...
