Great to know on potential weight. That's a good amount per side. I usually just travel with ultralights which are roughly 5 feet in length. If mounted with butt/reel close to back door, it wouldn't stick out much past the spare.

I'm in S. Berwick. Always have a gazetteer in the car. That's actually what I usually use to get around but it has its limitations. We do most of our exploring in the Lincoln, Sysladobsis/West Grand Lake area.
