I usually never buy a warranty or extra insurance on any products whether it be a TV, Car, etc. I've never had any issues (maybe I'm just lucky). However since I plan on keeping my Bronco vs. trading it in every 2-3 years like all my other cars, and given it is brand new (first one in 25...
Works well with no lag in my Bronco. The only issue I have is sometimes CarPlay doesn't automatically pop up on the screen and I have to shut off the car and restart it but this has only happened maybe 2-3 times in a month.
Good points. I posted this is a different thread but I was originally keeping the stock rims and was going to powder coat them and just put bigger tires on them to save money. I purchased the tires and had them shipped when my installed indicated the cost to powder coat the existing rims...
A few reasons. The first was I didn't want to run into any warranty issues. In speaking with my dealer, they said Ford would try to deny any claims should they be able to tie an issue back to the lift (not a huge concern). Second, my installer (my neighbor) thought it would look better...
Actually we went off road to test it and no rub. I guess it depends on your definition of off road but we pushed it as much as we could to see if it would rub and we we were good.
Finally got around to installing the rims and tires I purchased two weeks ago. Decided to go with no lift even though I had the 4WP two inch lift in my possession. Had to remove both sets of crash bars in the front to make it work but tested it off road with no rubbing or issues. Let me know...
My dealer called and gave me two options. A thicker black tape on the entire outside of the roll cage or clear 3M protective tape which is also in this picture (just can't see it). They did a small section just to show me what it looks like. I opted for the clear 3M tape. They notified Ford...
Thanks for sharing. I'm doing 295/70/R18 on 18x9 +20mm inch Fuel rims next week with the 2 in 4WP level lift. I was a little worried about the tires rubbing but it looks like the 315/70/17 with +30mm stick out exactly the same length as 295/70/18 with +20MM so I'm hoping I'm in the clear...
Definitely when opening and closing on mine. My dealer told me today they have been in contact with Ford on a possible solution and they will likely be putting some felt tape on that hinge as a precaution
