Okay, there are a bunch of topics in this thread that need to be unpacked.
1. Bronco can be flat towed. No question. It was designed this way. Are the issues Ford or user related, I don’t know but I feel terrible for owners that have experienced problems. It would be interesting to hear from...
Below is the standard from FMVSS 111. S5.1.1 Field of view.
Except as provided in S5.3, the mirror shall provide a field of view with an included horizontal angle measured from the projected eye point of at least 20 degrees, and a sufficient vertical angle to provide a view of a level road...
FMVSS 111 (federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard) for passenger car mirrors does not mention anything about not allowing a portion of the mirror being blocked. As long as the minimum reflective mirror surface size is met and can be seen by the driver, the standard is met. There are a few...
I have the Viair 450p for my coach. I have six Michelin 315 80R 22.5’s and run them at 110psi. The 450 P handles my stock BL tires with ease. If I didn’t already have it, I’d have gone with the 300. Visit builds quality products.
After reading all of the windshield horror stories. I bought my AWS Aero II before I took delivery. Put it on as soon as I got home. No issues yet, but it’s early. Wasn’t sure if I was going to like it but it actually looks pretty good.
I almost feel like I do not have the right or I am not worthy to post to this thread. I was not one of the Bronco faithful's that ordered their Bronco early and have waited 2-3 years or are still waiting. I decided in June of this year that I wanted a Bronco. Until I started my search, I had no...
Just curious where you can get the 8-year/100k Mike extended warranty for 1640 (1710 with LED) seems like a no brained at that price. I was quoted almost 5K for that length of time when I picked my new Bronco 3-weeks ago. Thanks
Great experience at Walterboro Ford in Walterboro, SC. They are a very small, 3rd generation, family owned dealership that has been in the low country for over 100 years. They are so small that they do t even have a show room. They sell all vehicles at invoice with no dealer fees and no...
The other potential issue you might have is with the IBS (intelligent battery sensor), which monitors your batteries state of charge, health and function. Not sure if adding a second battery will impact this. Just putting it out there.
Hey Dirtrider. Thanks for the great write up. Really helpful. Our setups a a bit different but I will probably steal the mounting plate for the control unit. I have the 2.7 and the capable bumper. With the 2.7 I don’t have deal the the vacuum hookup and I have made/modified some brackets for...
Thanks for the feedback. Kind of figured the fuse box was going to be the place but was hopeful I was missing some hidden hiding place. A buddy of mine has the setup on his Jeep and there is a pocket behind the battery that the control unit fits perfectly in. Almost like it was made for it.
Hello all, getting my BL ready to flat tow. I have been flat towing my old Subi for a long, long time and finally decided to put her out to pasture and upgrade my toad to a new Bronco. I have already installed my BluOx base plate, Curt wire harness and am ready to start on the Airforce one...
