Yes, especially since my BMW is drive by cable and also has a lightweight flywheel. I think I might get that Bronbuster South Bend clutch with the lightweight flywheel for my Bronco. I suspect it’ll help a lot.
That is an interesting source regarding the emissions aspect. I wonder if it could be converted to drive by cable to get around that.
But still it doesn’t explain how it relates to rev matching. If you clutch in in 4th gear as you state, in order to shift up to 5th, and it takes you half a...
Source???
To my knowledge there is absolutely zero correlation between rev hang and rev matching. How would that help you shift at all? If anything it would make it more difficult because you now have to wait longer to shift.
You don't need to reply if you don't know what you're talking about. I'm not referring to rev matching, or shifting without the clutch or 99% of the other things the folks in the replies of this thread are talking about. I'm only inquiring about rev hang. That's it. Thanks
Fantastic haha. But how does this actually affect the vehicle's performance? I assume the ECU is looking for a particular octane in order to change fuel maps and get those extra 25 horsepower.
I just don’t think there’s a lot of feel with the Bronco. Maybe if I put in some polyurethane engine mounts it would help. As it is the 2.3 engine is fairly quiet and soft. The feel of it is dampened through the chassis. And it’s not like I focus on the tach, it’s more of a peripheral thing...
Nahh... coming from someone with a bit of UI experience, it's horrible. And it's not like it would have taken any more microchips or a bigger screen or a faster processor to make it better. All it would have taken was for them to actually try and make it as good as the rest of the vehicle, by...
Or at least allow us to change/customize it.
Firstly, the tachometer being a vertical bar is really annoying for those of us that drive manual. Every race/sports car has it as a horizontal bar or some type of horizontal gauge going from left to right as RPM's increase. Every typical stick...
For those who have the manual transmission, how do you park the car?
When I first got it, I would just set the parking brake, but due to the placement of it, that got annoying quickly.
So now I just leave it in first gear unless I'm parking on a steep surface.
Is one better than the other...
It's alright, easily the worst gauge cluster of any car I've ever seen though. Wish we could customize it since it's digital. Otherwise like what's the point of it being digital.
