I was super excited and each delay and missed promise has lowered my excitement level to now if I think about the big picture I get a handful of major letdowns plus at least a year wait to get the vehicle.
I don't like;
-No X-plan as promised
-MIC top is only carbonized grey (ugly)
-Badlands...
I've heard from people who supposedly work or used to work at GM or Ford that for a first model year they should only be able to build a maximum of 80k more likely 50-60k units for the MY21. I think I also heard that we have 235k reservation and they expect a 40-50% dropout for various reasons...
Ok, yep I see now, but the grill on BL at least is Carbonized Grey, however even with literature stating Black MIC alot of this pics looks grey, but then I guess pre-production
Kinda looks like it matches to me, remember this is under fluorescent lights which to weird things, there is no way AMB looks like that so I bet the shades of grey are off slightly.
From what I have read if you are a later reservation you might automatically get a MY22 and at that time you will go back to your dealer and re-do your order, being able to select the MY22 exclusive options.
Was planning for Velocity Blue and black MIC top, did not realize the only MIC color is carbonized grey.
So knowing this my decision depends on;
-What color the fender flares and grill are
-how the colorizer looks with VB
I am upset that;
-No green paint
-No X-plan
-No cheap/base black...
The first dealer I reserved at I did so because I had bought a car from and I knew 2 people there. The 2 people were no longer there and to top it off they wouldn't email be back about simple questions before or after placing my reservation with them. They also said they would not offer X-plan...
If I could have it I'd get a 2.7 or 5.0 with a manual, front and rear lockers, the sway bar disconnect and the Sasquatch lift plus all the steel skid plates and stuff, I could do without all the tech and luxury features but Ford is forcing me to get the 2nd most expensive trim to get the sway...
I mean I get it, if I liked black cars which I used to, but I wanted it to have a splash of color sometimes I'd be all over this color. But for me I want something wild, not cyber orange wild, but bright blue, green or red instead of boring white, grey, or black like 9/10 cars on the road are...
Yep, pretty sure that's the color ram I had for about a month as a rental. I had it in the dead of winter so it was never that bright and sunny out, but the sun did peek out once or twice and the green was beautiful but 95% of the time i thought I had a black truck. Sadly I won't be getting AMB.
It's a bit complicated to try out on my phone. Just Google it. Basically depending on the size of the dealer and how many vehicles they sell is how many vehicles the manufacturer will sell them. For example, if I dealer only sold Mustangs and never sold an escape or focus ford would cut off...
I don't know how the allocation works but my dealer which is one of about 5 major ford dealers within a 30 minute driving range told me they have 186 reservations. Now I'm no expert but I've seen their lot and I doubt they have room for 186 let alone 100 or even 50 broncos at a time, plus car...
For my purposes I ride a motorcycle all spring-fall and only need a large vehicle for winter and hauling. So it would be tolerable for what I do.
Obviously not stock.
I just started looking at 70's and 80's pickups and for what you'll pay in interest over the loan on the bronco you can get a truck that's got the V8, has a manual behind said V8, has more power in some cases, perhaps more reliable, and you have endless mods and upgrades ready to buy so no...
