  1. Outer Banks Bronco Build- Post your OBX Build

4 Door AMB Roast/Black Cloth 2.7 (Still debating whether to go with 4.27 Rear Axle) Aux Switches Floor liners Bimini Top
  2. Anyone have Good Photos of 33" vs 35" Tires????

Here are 33’s on my 1986 CJ7 on 15” rims. They are Cooper AT3s - I have become a Cooper tire fan and have had the Discoverers on a couple of jeeps we have owned. They provide a quiet ride and are good in bad weather.
  3. The Shadow Influence of Bronco6g on the Bronco

Happy New Year everyone! I joined the forum shortly after my 7/19 order and I have enjoyed following the forum. Some good advice and points made and I have asked a couple of questions that received helpful responses to help me shape my final rig. Hoping for a mid-year Bronco delivery and will...
  4. Updated Dates for 2021 Bronco Order Acceptance (Jan 19), Scheduling and Start of Production (May 3)

How about AMB? They have a lot of demos in AMB. That’s my first choice so I’m hoping it’s not a potential delay issue.
  5. Please help! Closest to 45k build that makes sense

Thanks for the information. I will try that. Thought I did that but will run it again.
  6. Please help! Closest to 45k build that makes sense

My build is a Big Bend, 2.7, Mid-Package, Signature Headlights, 4.27 Rear Axle, Aux Switches, Floor mats, Tube Steps, and a Bimini Mesh cover. Comes in (based on accuracy of the new pricing that recently showed up) at $45,100.
  7. Build & Price Updated: Auto No Longer Free For Mid-Level Trim + Other Changes

Having a day to consider everything - I am now 50/50 on passing on the Bronco. I was 100% in before and was happy with my build and price. I have seen the comments about people being delusional that the upgrade to the 2.7L and auto trans was only $1895 and I was originally cautious about it...
  8. Build & Price Updated: Auto No Longer Free For Mid-Level Trim + Other Changes

And I recall another thread on this site that was a Q&A with their chief marketing guy and he made a specific comment that moving up to the 2.7L and 10 sp Auto for $1800 is a steal. Guess maybe they realized that and jacked up the price end that talk.
  9. Build & Price Updated: Auto No Longer Free For Mid-Level Trim + Other Changes

Perhaps the B&P is still messed up? I redid my build and yes the final price when I run the total has gone up. But when I look at the details on my options and add up the prices shown my options equal $6139 but in the B&P summary it shows $7724. No clue where the extra $$ are coming from...
  10. How long will you keep your Bronco?

I plan on holding my Bronco for a long time. My job shifted to work from home full time as an outcome of the pandemic so I expect my 15k miles per year average to severely drop. I’m hoping that translates to a longer life with the Bronco - 10+ years is my goal
  11. What is your final build?

Big Bend with Mid Package - 2.7L Engine - 4.27 Rear Axle - Debating on 12” screen - Aux Switches - Black Onyx interior (lack of quality photos of the Sand seats makes me nervous) - Signature Headlights - Tube steps - Mesh Bimini Top - Likely will look to upgrade sound/speakers and later beef up...
  12. Can’t think of a blessed aux switch item that I want/need - novelty of aux switches still worth it?

I decided to add the switches to anticipate things I currently can’t think of or don’t think I want but may decide to add later. The cost to add the switches now is cheap compared the total cost to buy the Bronco and likely a lot less messy than trying to add something later when you realize...
  13. For those scared of E load - Seeing good reviews of Cooper AT3 XLT

I have put Cooper ATs on a couple of Jeeps I owned and really liked them. I’m in the NE and the tires did great in rain and snow - with and without engaging the 4wd. Am likely going to put them on my son’s Wrangler when new tires are needed. Here’s a picture of my CJ7 with 33” AT3 XLs. They...
  14. Auxiliary Switches - What’s on your list?

My current thought is for sound system upgrades as well - otherwise not sure. But the low cost to add the switches now seems like a no brainer to give me options later on. Not a tech guy but from seeing other threads about the switches indicates adding them later is not a simple task.
  15. Post your reservation date when posting "I'm out."

I have a July 19 reservation and I plan on staying the course. I have my build ready to order whenever things open. I hope everyone hangs on but don’t mind if people drop and I get to move up.
  16. 4DR, Soft vs Hard top

Test driving a Jeep would be a good idea. My older CJ (for which I had just soft doors) had noise issues but the newer jeeps we have had not so much. Having the regular doors will cut down on wind noise but my sense is the newer soft tops aren’t that bad. With that said, if you already have a...
  17. Why go 4-door unless you have to?

Have always been planning a 4-door. Extra room to pack for trips and we have dogs - big Great Danes - so we need the space.
  18. Bronco Hard Top How-to Video: Remove Roof Rack, Panels and Hardtop

The video confirmed why I wanted the 4-door with the soft top - too much work to be able to go topless for a short period or if there is a risk the weather could change during a drive. I’m sure it’s been noted in this string but the process is about the same as taking off a Jeep hardtop
  19. 4DR, Soft vs Hard top

I have been onboard with the soft top from the beginning. I have owned multiple jeeps with hard and soft tops (from an 85 CJ7 to my some now having a 2014 Willys). Assuming the set up is similar to the jeeps, the hard top was a pain because on the 4-door jeeps it’s a 2-man job to remove the...
