Just speculating, but in regards to #2 above.... is it possible that because this is a "noise situation" that you are only hearing when the doors are off, and in fact the noise is present all the time? Just speculating, because the doors being off should have zero effect on the starter or...

I am not sure about that piece of "angle iron" in the middle of the bracket. Unless that is stainless or maybe heavy-duty plastic, my guess is that will begin rusting in no time.

I agree with this. No inside knowledge or anything like that, but I see no compelling case and/or logical reason to put power memory seats in a Badlands. If anything it would seem that OBX would be the next logical choice for a power cloth seat. MGV, not so much.
