Any other installations/experience with this?
Bronco 4Dr 2021-2022 Soft Canvas Bimini Top ~ VM2DZ54500W00D (ford.com)
Basically, a viable bikini/quick on/off rain cover is the difference between keeping my JL and taking my Bronco order when/if it ever shows up, or at least, it's a major...
Have any JL owners compared the manual JL to the manual Bronco by chance? The JL has some recall issues with the clutch, but from my experience it's been pretty solid, although the gearing is a little out of whack. I'd like to test drive a manual Bronco a bit more, but those aren't exactly easy...
That makes sense, the air flow should be mostly down on it, not coming up from the back. I could see this as a decent alternative until Bestop or someone makes a solid bimini top. The only caveat to that is, can you get the middle piece on by yourself?
This actually is a major factor keeping in me in a JL. The hard top solution is interesting if that's viable long-term. My scenario, probably much like the OP, is that I run a hard top 6 months of the year, and a bimini top/no top the other 6 months. I'm in the Southeast, and even though my...
I bought from Gupton too, great people, seamless experience. The only thing that prevented me from the XR package is that you can't get it with a manual (one thing Bronco definitely has an advantage on). All of these are valid points on both sides. Some people want more space/wider stance, some...
Yeah, they said initially my pricing would be locked in at that point ('22 order) but who knows. Far as pricing, I really don't pay any attention to what any vehicle costs on a lot. I've never just walked into a dealer and bought a vehicle, it was always an order of exactly what I (or my wife)...
I drove a Bronco a bit more the last few weeks, one thing I definitely feel going back and forth from the JL, is somehow the JL feels nimble compared to the Bronco. The Bronco feels kinda like a 4Runner to me, and the JL, while a rougher overall ride (I guess, it just doesn't feel as cushioned)...
This is just not true, I hate to break it to you, but i have a '21 JL, and I could sell it right now for more than I bought it for 10 months and 8000 miles ago. Jeep has high volume dealers with prices 6-8% below invoice, factor in the still inflated used market, and well........you are just...
I'm in the same boat, but I jumped off really early because I didn't want to go through another winter/spring with a vehicle that I wasn't confident with on long trips - ironically it was a JK. I beat that thing relentlessly and really never had any major issues, 188k miles, I just didn't trust...
Has anyone received an order from Walterboro Ford yet? I'm guessing they are pretty low on allocation. My original reservation was July 18, 2021, ordered then and again in October (for '22). I'm guessing I'll be on the '23 order list soon, - 4 Dr. Badlands Non-SAS, manual, 2.3L, modular bumper, MIC.
Great post, joining a club is key. I've definitely reached out to my local Jeep club (still in a JL until/if Bronco shows up). The discussion on the best overall on/off road with respect to the stock Badlands is kinda where I'm at on deciding on shifting my build (when it eventually/likely gets...
I'm in the same boat too......except the main thing I definitely want is MGV, so...I'm between a Black Diamond SAS and Badlands Non-SAS, price is basically the same and I lose front locker and disconnecting sway bar. I'm mostly using it as an overlanding/surf vehicle, with off-roading mostly on...
You are doing pretty well to have ordered in November 2021. My current build was put in October 13 - Badlands, Non-SAS, 2.3L, Manual, MIC, Capable Bumper. I'd still take that build, but I doubt it's happening.
