I told the 2nd dealer that this was a contingency order and that I had one at another dealership. They were fine with it and said that they have been getting walk in orders sooner than some res holders (also said they are seeing a bunch of hard tops show up) and many who already had reservations...

Is it truly just the tires? Or is is a design flaw and you are screwed no matter what tires unless you have the mud flaps? (I am also in the camp of mud flaps are ugly as all hell- I am going to get the zroadz side steps though in hopes that will help)

I switched well after the emails for that went out (3 weeks ago) am I still eligible or was there a cut off date?

Well i put a second order in with a different dealer. Same build but hard top. So we’ll see which one comes first and if the non-res order strategy works at all.

Order #2 officially in with a different dealer. Only difference is i opted for hard top given this morning’s post. We’ll see!

Trust me im not team soft top. Definitely getting an aftermarket hard top cus i agree the soft looks like shit. Too many people posting complaints on MiC 2.0 though… Also I know better than to listen to the opinion of a fellow locke 😛

You know what? I dont even care anymore. There’s still webasto issues eith respect to quality. Im sticking with the soft top and will shell out the extra $ for and aftermarket option- i want a hard fastback anyway…

This kills my OCD. I get it they are not going to stop production and delivery of vehicles over such a small nuance. That said 1. communication from Ford would have been great instead of sneaking it out and hoping no one would notice. 2. Fine send it without the chip so I can get my ride, but...

I just called my local dealer (smaller than the one I ordered from) asked about their allocations, orders ahead of me, and confirmed it would be msrp- probably putting in a second order- same build- just for shits and giggles.

Just called my dealer- no dice so far... Really thought switching to the soft top would help me out here.
