I feared what you’re saying is true... but hopefully between Ford and the dealer, they can get me set up how I want it. At $60k, this stuff oughta be Burger King: have it your way.
based on this comment, anyone getting a Wildtrak that wants to trade their completely black rims for the beauty...
Agreed. I mean think about it... they told us we can have dual tops for a certain amount. Just charge us that amount at the time of buying and let us take the mod top when available according to time stamp. Maybe waive the freight and shipping of the top since it was their promise that wasn’t...
In my head, anyone who wants to be able to easily cruise around without the top and doors, will need a soft top to go with their modular top. You can’t store the entire modular top on board like you can the doors, so if I’m unsure of how I want to cruise that day, I’ll throw the soft top on so...
okay, gotcha. Yea, I agree like you said that I’d like Ford to know at the time of buying (with my reservation time stamp) that I want the mod top as they come out.
So I just got off the phone with my local sales rep, and here’s what I was told (now this was from a sales rep so I know they’re just trying to keep me on the hook, but for what it’s worth):
I was assured that when I sit down to order, it will be line item by line item, in a much more detailed...
I’m all in for this, IF they give us the option for the gloss black grille and side mirror caps that the modular was supposed to come with.
FORD, give us the gloss grille and mirror caps, and we will all roll around with a soft top until the modular top gets here.
Here, let me help you out Ford...
Give us a black and grey option.
Give us a dark brown and tan option.
Give us an all black option.
Boom, everyone’s happy. Are they unaware that this has been the standard color options for most every make and model for decades? If you wanted accents, it...
1. When I add the 2.7L to the badlands, it removes the paint protection and the sound deadening materials...not sure what (if anything) those have to do with each other.
2. Also, are we not allowed to get the black gloss Sasquatch rims without the beauty ring on the badlands? Seems like this...
I understand what you’re saying, and maybe I should rephrase. I’m not so much concerned with the 30 extra hp, it’s the 90 extra ft/lbs of torque that would probably be nice for tough uphill muddy rutted trails. Louisianian with less rock climbing around here...
My turn to rant...
I still think it’s a technical problem because this seems like the easy answer to a softball question from a Ford interviewer.
It is hard for me to believe that, when Ford sat down to develop this idea, they did not recognize that the type of person who wants a stick shift...
I thought I read that somewhere. But watch out, because I was on the phone with a BFG rep last week for new KO2 all terrains on my truck, and he said the 33s did not have white lettering, but the 35s did. Apparently white lettering is only available on “select sizes.”
I like the 35s. According to BFG, the KO2 35s do come with white lettering. Question is, would Ford be so kind as to let us specially request the BFG 35s with the raised white lettering?... seems like an easy ask to fulfill, but I’d be willing to bet I’d get a “no” answer from my local dealer...
What I'm curious about that I haven't seen mentioned is the chrome versus the black bronco emblem on the rear door. On the 2D colorizer with the regular hard top, you can tell its a chrome emblem in the back, but on the 4D colorizer with the black painted modular hard top, all the rear bronco...
