Same here...also one of the 1st ten. Haven't had any issues w/steering bind either, other than when the frt locker is locked. Can definitely feel it's heavier when aired down for sure, but I can always steer. Coming up on my next maintenance interval so I will check thoroughly! One thing...
Totally NOT a hijack Dusty...this is good info for anybody looking to go this route! I don't have anything w/ESOF xfer case to compare, but knowing Ford this DOES NOT suprise me at all...always gotta be something different! Hope you guys can find the "holy grail" flange for that one too!
I have an Independent shop, and I align mine all the time. My machine doesn't have specs for it yet, so I print out the specs from alldata and manually type them in (or just look at the printout while setting it)
100% when I had 37s on mine (which measured out pretty true to size) I was able to get my speedo dead nuts w/gps speed. I think 578 rev/mile was the sweet spot, but can't remember for sure. It sets a U0422 code in the PCM because that's a value outside the PCM's normal parameters, but I had...
Vehicle speed is calculated by ABS and reads off the wheels, so the gear change wont affect the speedo. The AT shift strategy may be a little off, but doubt that will be enough to be a problem. AT has an output speed sensor to determine if there is slippage in the trans, so it may be confused...
I can tell you it ISNT 35mm as I have never even owned one of those. My go to large metrics are 30 34 36 and 39. 39mm fits front axle nuts on tundra...that's the only reason I bought it. 1-1/4 is also a go to size...don't know what the metric equivalent is, because 1-1/4 fits it so perfect I...
Oil draining back out of the phasers while sitting overnight/extended IS 100% the cause of the noise. The "priming crank" trick is a known workaround, and also a good way to diagnose the problem. The phasers are designed to hold oil while shut off, and not leak down, so you aren't fixing...
I think there was a roll of teflon tape in one of my boxes, but I prefer the dope. Those plugs are supposed to be NPT, but NPT will usually leak oil unless reefed upon excessively. The vents are the same thread, and I doped them too...you cant tighten them "tight tight" cause they gotta be...
Wow this sucks! I have ordered stuff from them in the past, and haven't had an issue. Everything I ordered showed up eventually. Been over a year since I ordered anything from them. Looks like they went dark around late July? Responses to BBB complaints end then as well. Curtis must have...
