If you got an order confirmation from Ford, that's all you'll ever get from them until it is scheduled to be built (aside from Off Rodeo emails. Lol!) Walk-ins don't get any swag. I'm pretty sure that a Ford account won't show anything -- at least it never did for me.
If your dealer is so...
Probably astronomically small odds of it happening, and from what I read, a software fix would most likely correct it. I just mentioned it because it's a selling point for non-factory lockers. 😀
Too be quite honest, at this time, I doubt I take the Bronco out anywhere super remote. But I have read threads on this site where people have discussed a shortcoming where a damaged wheel speed sensor will kick off lockers -- or was it even worse and it kicks off 4-wheel drive entirely? I can't...
I would have had to spend probably $5K to jump from a Base to a Big Bend just to get a locker. An air locker will be cheaper than that, and a lot stronger (6# holding pressure for electric vs. 800# for air), and it will still work if a wheel sensor fails.
The Wildtrak/Badlands grille comes from the Ford parts department primered and ready to paint. Many choose to go gloss black, which is how the Wildtrak rolls off the assembly line. I had mine painted satin black and clearcoated for $194.
I ordered a Base and have zero regrets. I have no use for all the amenities found on the higher trims, and going with a Base definitely sped things up. I ordered on 1/29/22 and it was delivered yesterday.
Going with a Base means I can customize it the way I want it. It's easier to "toss" the...
Tracking shows it being delivered today. Lol! Still lots to do though -- compressor, new gear set, install kit, etc. The biggest hurdle will be finding an installer. And if I were to regear from 3.73 to 4.46, I'd have to figure out a way to do the front -- not even sure gear sets are avaible for...
Got a shipping notice for the front bumper today -- 29 days from order. Can't beat that. The engine skid will be delivered tomorrow. I hope the rear bumper ships soon, as my Bronco arrived at my dealer's today and I'll be picking it up next week!
Well, my absolutely filthy Base is sitting at the dealership. They never even called me, and the Ford tracker still says "Built". I talked to the sales manager, and he says it will be next week before it's ready. I'll immediately be putting JCR Offroad front and rear bumpers on it, a JCR Offroad...
ADV Fiberglass says that the factory 4-door MIC top's center section doesn't seal well, so maybe that's the reason. Perhaps the 2-door version (like the one I rode in) is quiet. Or maybe either version can be noisy or quiet, and it just depends on luck.
It's weird how this is a hit or miss issue. A local gentleman took my wife and me for a ride in his since we are waiting for ours. It was a 2-door hard top, and it was quiet as a mouse in there while driving 55 MPH on a rural highway. We were in the back seat and had normal conversation with him...
I ordered in January 2022 as well, and mine changed to "Built" status sometime overnight last night. What will help me tremendously is that as soon as I ordered it, I started saving money in my "Bronco Fund" and now have a 45% down payment. I would have even more down, but I've already spent $6K...
