It's not the traveling to Miami, I've done Miami to Napa Valley CA and back to FL in an Italian Aprilia scooter...
It's the moving everything you will need for the winter, including food, dogs, some clothing, some kitchen stuff, etc. all while driving in comfort and silence in a vehicle that...
Toyota has been building hybrids since 1997, they have even licenced their hybrid system to other manufacturer including Ford.
After more than 25 years of manufacturing hybrids, I would say that they got this!
Our 2 door Bronco is a toy for my wife, she only drives 3 miles to work a few days a week and tows a boat 6 miles to the lake. Reliability takes the back seat under looks.
If I needed a serious vehicle for the family that takes us to our winter home in Miami and would be on daily driver duty...
Bump! Really interested in this. I just bought an used 2023 leather covered steering wheel with the heated element and all the lane centering and adaptive cruise buttons for my base (I know I need more hardware for the ACC).

I plan to retire abroad in about 5 years, the Bronco...

The manual in the 2.3L can technically survive the torque from the V6, but barely. Wouldn't want one in mine but good luck with the petition. I don't know if the Chinese transmission for the Mustang GT can be fitted on an AWD application.
The only reason I bought my wife the Bronco was because it has the automatic transmission. If our 2012 JK with 38k miles had the auto, we wouldn't had sold it. My wife just got tired of the manual.
At one point, we had three cars, all manuals, all two doors and two of them convertibles...
