  1. Enabling Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Centering

I do wish the Bronco was *mine* so I could try different IPMA firmware for lane centering. I have a spare windshield camera, no chance my wife will let me mess around that much with her car though.
  2. Your wish list for 2025 Bronco?

    * Combined Heritage and Heritage Limited. There's no need for this nonsense of "Mid package with any color, High/Lux only in two pale colors or YET ANOTHER SHADE OF BLUE". * Drop Everglades, if they haven't already. Do we really need a trim dedicated to "you can drive through 36 inches of water...
  3. Update Pending Ford Power-Up 6.3.0

More specifically, the TCU is the car's 4G modem for updates, wifi, live traffic, and FordPass. Your APIM (Sync module) has the Bluetooth circuitry. I believe the TCU is used for the wifi network utilized by Wireless AC/AA, but wired AC/AA is handled entirely by Sync
  4. Rumor of no 2.7 in 2025?!?

Jeep is a bad influence on Ford and I don't want them hanging around anymore. Too many trims, too many arbitrary restrictions. You cannot have a 2.7 if it has an OBX sticker on the fender. You cannot have the rubber lay-in tray with WT+bashplate or SAS+OBX, but it's fine with SAS+BB...
  5. Another Lux question

Adaptive Cruise is mandatory on any car I buy. Too many people refuse to drive a steady speed and I hate needing to constantly adjust to match them. Especially if I'm in Minnesota, people will slow down for the gentlest bends in the road. Or slow down as they pass another car. I'm actually...
  6. Enabling Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Centering

FWIW I couldn't find it either, but it worked just fine without doing the relearn.
  7. Has your Bronco hit 100,000 miles yet? 50,000?

We're past two years at just under 20,000 miles, which is just fine by me. Generally I try to drive the Flex when we're going to spend any appreciable time on the highway. As much fun as the Bronco is, the Flex is definitely my preference for highway use.
  8. Why do we hate Auto Start/Stop so much?

I do like all the comments about "I need to be in CONTROL of my car, dang it." Do you get mad at variable valve timing and spark advance? Would you rather have a manual choke and little levers to control the turbo wastegates yourself? Hot-restarting an ASS-equipped vehicle is not the same as...
  9. Much needed "Enhanced Window Operation" OTA software update now installing

Hoping this isn't a 4dr-only update. I've complained at length about my auto-up bouncing back and how vague the recalibration wording is, even taking it into the shop to see if they can adjust the window (Could Not Replicate, of course)
  10. Best Dash Cam recommendations?

Aesthetics of the camera itself also matter to me, so all my cars have Thinkware F200 Pro front/rear cameras. It's only 1080p, not 4K, but all have been reliable. I have the rear mounted to the rollbar similar to Monster1926, though in a slightly different position. You can see my mounting...
  11. Any tricks to "locking" a garage door open?

My Chamberlain does it, nice in case you forget to close it, especially after finishing random outdoor projects. You can press HOLD to keep the door open. Also have it send me a push notification if the door is open for more than 60 minutes, under the assumption it was supposed to auto-close...
  12. Dont put your hard top front panels in the back seat

Ouch. I hate expensive discoveries like that. On my old car, had new tires delivered once and couldn't fit all four in the trunk -- two had to go on the back seat. Didn't realize they'd stain the seats., and that car had limited edition white leather -- only 459 were made with those seats :(...
  13. Chinese-Market Bronco photos: full digital gauge cluster, new interior colors, rear passengers vents, etc.

Agreed. It's frustrating that an American company is constantly putting the newest features on the China-market models. While I know most people here hate huge touchscreens, the Explorer in China looks like a damn Lincoln They removed the OBX 2-door because "ehh we don't wanna make brown...
  14. Where do you put/store your key fob in the vehicle?

I know back in the day, I had the same thought of "I like the tactile feedback of physically turning a key and hearing/feeling the engine come to life" but it passed. Didn't help when the ignition cylinder actually fell out of my Dodge's steering column while I was driving. The battery will...
  15. Ford QC gone down hill...

Three more UAW strikes, another $20/hour, and maybe the nuts will start getting tightened. Unfortunately mistakes do happen. My 22 Silverado was leaking transmission fluid from the factory. You'd think the dealer would notice stains under a brand new car on their lot.
  16. What genius at Ford?

I don't want solutions, I just want to be angry. This is useful at least in that I'll have to check it the hitch I use on the Flex is incompatible with the Bronco. Never considered the spare getting in the way because we normally use the Flex for towing anyway
  17. Lane assist, is mine working correctly?

There's two modes on the Bronco. Alert, and Alert + Aid Yours might be set to just Alert, check Driver Aids in the touchscreen. It will not lane-center, but will actively steer you away from lane markings and attempt to straighten back out in the lane.
  18. Hope this wasn't a Bronco owner

You've never made mistakes or gotten in over your head on something? Dude got stuck while out on the trails. It happens to the best of us. This wasn't a teen joyriding a stolen Kia into a monument for Tiktok clout. True "Respect the land, don't destroy it" would mean nobody ever offroads...
  19. [Done] Rain-Sensing Wipers Installed

Five-month update. Electrically, it's been working fine. Visually, the vinyl kept trying to pull away from the glass, resulting in a visible pattern on the outside in the shape of the bracket. Of course, I somehow failed to get any pictures of this. My thought was to switch to a two-layer...
  20. Hope this wasn't a Bronco owner

It sucks but it wasn't done out of malice or mass negligence -- it was the only thing around that could be used as a winch point. Not hard to assume that others have successfully used it in the past if that's a popular spot.
