I agree. I think the 3.5 would be a bit much. It's a great full sized truck motor, but the reinforcement and drivetrain upgrades it would take to handle that motor would probably be too much for the Bronco.
bwahahahaha. As if he had any choice. You really think the plant manager had any choice? That decision comes from way above his pay grade. As in from Farley himself.
Yeah… I know way too much about the fiasco that is the Bronco launch. And yet I’m still here…..and the chip crisis, and the tops, and supplier issues, and ….. you name it. It’s true what they say, if you enjoy the sausage, don’t ask to see how it’s made.
truly, if you think it’s above Ford...
I think that is kind of what he's saying. That they have a lot of commodities and parts to build 99 orders, but not the open orders. So that they are waiting to see if they can convert more that they can actually build. Otherwise they push a lot of dealer orders instead.
Or, they have a lot of...
Michigan - I have an order with Fox Ford, in Grand Rapids, and they are honoring my A-plan. So that's a plus for them. I also know the Sales Manager and GM personally, they are doing things right. Absolutely recommend.
In other news, I stopped by Borgman Ford, in Grandville, MI, and they were...
Theoretically, anything that doesn't change the VIN (doors, series, engine, 4wd, etc) can be changed after scheduling, even with VIN in hand. If the dealer could add it, and it stayed on all the way to production date, then it should have stuck. If it's on your window label, it should be on your...
My current lease is up next October, but I'm planning now. If I don't have a build date by Spring, I'm going to be looking hard at GMC's new truck line up. The ZR2/AT4X/Denali Ultimate across the truck line up looks very sharp, and would happily fit my needs. I was a day 1 reservation, and just...
You can make small option choice changes, like color, interior cloth vs leather, etc changes. Nothing big or major. Unless that’s changed in the last 4 months.
Not quite. You can still make small changes, like color, interior, wheel/tire package, all the way up to sent to plant status. You can NOT change series, WTvsBB, or 4wd type or engine or 2/4 door once scheduled.
Previous Ford dealer rep. Yes. There is a Preview. On Tuesday morning dealers can look in their order banks for a “P” next to an order to signify it’s been selected to “preview for scheduling”. It’s how dealers know how to manage their order banks.
Once it’s actually been scheduled on...
Yeah, I know I wouldn't be. It just depends on your specific use cases. I've heard Tremors are just about as hard to get as a Bronco too. Low availabiliy. They also just raised prices I believe for 2023, and dropped the lowest trim offering.
Ford is really trying to raise their transaction...
