I literally just told my wife that somebody with a 4 way to take the tire in 30 seconds without making a sound. At least a locking lug nut might slow them down or make them make noise which would certainly gotten my dogs excited.

Exactly. That is why the thieves like my neighborhood. Lots of trusting people that leave expensive things inside their expensive cars. My favorites are the thieves that use a repeater to unlock, locked cars. This is why I try to leave nothing inside since a lock means nothing.

There are at least 10 used tire shops within 2 miles from my home. I am 100% sure that my tire is sitting at one of them. I thought about spending the afternoon visiting them and trying to ransom my tire back... The DV8 tire guard looks interesting, but it would be almost another $1000...

I don't keep much in my Bronco. I left it unlocked one night so, of course, it got rifled through. I was laughing at the idiots because I didn't have anything for them to steal, then I realized that they took the hard top removal tool kit. Dammit. I don't know if this is to my defense or...

Central Austin. Good neighborhood, but we have the regular crimes of opportunity, i.e. people checking for unlocked cars and going through them, stealing packages, etc.. Stealing the spare outside of my house was unexpected though. Seems more targeted.

Does the spare not have a TPMS sensor? The low tire light is off. Shouldn't the light be on with a missing tire?

I have cameras around the house, but last night I parked facing the wrong way and the back of the Bronco was blocked by a tree. This person or persons must have been really quiet too because my dogs light up with every car door and noise in the street.

This video is very informative and very disappointing. I am considering getting a bicycle lock and chaining the rim to the tire carrier, but first I have to replace it.

I can get a rim from Ford and there are lots of used / takeoff rims and tires floating around too. I am still too pissed to make good decisions.

Nope, not what I want to hear. Anybody have an extra Wildtrak rim lying around, or maybe the part number?

Last night, some person decided that they needed the spare tire off my my 4 month old Wildtrak. My Wildtrak did not come with any wheel locks, and I didn't think anything about it. Now I am needing a new rim, tire, tpms, etc., and some anger management suggestions.

I haven't tried installing yet.

Quick update. After the first 8.5 gallons of super unleaded, my mileage went up to about 14.2. I added another 8.5 gallons of super unleaded about 100 miles ago and I am now reading 17.2. My guess is that I either got a bad batch of regular unleaded, or my Bronco hates regular gas when it...
