  2. Ice Mountain Tracker (Dirt Mountain v2.0)

Sorry it looks like it is part of the LUX package and is included in the OBX and Badlands as standard.
  3. Ice Mountain Tracker (Dirt Mountain v2.0)

Just looking that up ... I have a Black Diamond with Mid - it's not standard on the BD, it's not in the Mid package. It is standard on the Wild Trak. What model do you have?
  4. Ice Mountain Tracker (Dirt Mountain v2.0)

Thought I’d ask - one theory is that this is the module that controls ACC - if you’re me … no ACC … one man’s disaster is another man’s lottery win.
  5. Ice Mountain Tracker (Dirt Mountain v2.0)

Which modules? What do they control? Thanks.

  7. Ice Mountain Tracker (Dirt Mountain v2.0)

I'm tagging this on to your post as you are a fellow 2 door VCD (very cool dude). I sorted the Ice Chips spreadsheet for 2 doors only: 21% Two Door 54% Two Door, Non-Sas 56% Two Door, Sas 20% Two Door, 2.3L; Auto 25% Two Door, 2.3L; Man 55% Two Door, 2.7L; Man So ... 21% of the...
  8. šŸ“ˆ Bronco January 2022 Sales & Production Numbers: 8,101 Sold / 12,938 Produced

Great explanation … to me the fact that they continue to produce WIP instead of shutting down indicates Ford sees a relatively short (1 - 2 month) ā€œchip holdā€ vs a longer term ā€œchip shortageā€. I am heartened that they knocked out almost 13,000 vehicles (apparently except for certain chips)...
  9. šŸ“ˆ Bronco January 2022 Sales & Production Numbers: 8,101 Sold / 12,938 Produced

I am in the same boat and feel your pain. I think something like starting this month dedicate some amount of production to filling the oldest res/orders first independent of allocation. That would take some of the sting out of it and still allow Ford to b-slap the ā€œMSRP lessā€ dealers. I see...
  10. šŸ“ˆ Bronco January 2022 Sales & Production Numbers: 8,101 Sold / 12,938 Produced

Was that at your dealer? If not the reason is allocation - you don’t like it, I don’t like it, but that’s the reason. As production rises allocations will play a smaller role
  11. šŸ“ˆ Bronco January 2022 Sales & Production Numbers: 8,101 Sold / 12,938 Produced

I am not even sure they are filling each dealers allocations - once all (or most all dealers) are getting their allocations filled don’t you think ford will change the formula? Or not build as many as they can? This will pass …
  12. šŸ“ˆ Bronco January 2022 Sales & Production Numbers: 8,101 Sold / 12,938 Produced

I am not an accountant - are you saying it’s not possible, given that these are 99.99% finished? Got to be ā€œready to shipā€? Part of me would like to believe that as it would mean ā€œproductionā€ was actually much higher than 12,900 which would be great news.
  13. šŸ“ˆ Bronco January 2022 Sales & Production Numbers: 8,101 Sold / 12,938 Produced

I put this together monthly: I suspect that the vehicles on "chip hold" are in fact counted as produced, which is perhaps good news as maybe Ford expects them to be moved out in the near term (think GAAP). The sobering part is the downturn on sales and the erosion of Gross Stocks (dealer...
  14. šŸ“ˆ Bronco January 2022 Sales & Production Numbers: 8,101 Sold / 12,938 Produced

Not necessarily, if Ford chooses to count the vehicles on chip hold as ā€œproducedā€ given they are essentially ready (to be clear I do not know this to be a fact) it could explain the rise in production with the accompanying fall off in sales. I’ll publish a chart later.
  15. $500 deposit to order?!

Mine was $2000; More importantly would get it in writing that it is refundable right up to the point of the VIN being issued.
