That really doesn't work here.
These are (eventually going to be) mass produced vehicles. I get the late production start, chip issues, and hard top debacle will limit the MY21 and possibly MY22 production numbers, but MAP is built out to make 250K units a year with a 60/40 Bronco/Ranger...
Maybe you should have gotten an agreed upon price in writing before your meal was prepared. /s
Seriously though, this is the most concise and logical explanation I have seen trying to breakdown why ADMs for preorders is unethical and unscrupulous.
We were given a menu (Ford.com), we ordered...
@tphigh2001 That's awesome. Hopefully I am not to far behind you. Got a 10/11 build week. My original color was Race Red, because GO HOGS! I switched to A51 and was fine with that decision until I was leaving the game Saturday night. That red would have been so cool at Razorback games.
If it makes you feel better, my res date is one day after yours and I got 10/11 build week email.
Switched from 2DR, BB to 4DR, BB on 8/13. Got my build week email 9/2.
Fellow Nats fan here, the baseball season was brutal enough. Couldn't add waiting for a hard top to the 2021 disappointments. Switched to a softie 3 weeks ago, got a build date emailed to me yesterday.
Makes stomaching a 100 loss season a bit easier.
No.
Poorly written article with clickbait headline has B6G doom and gloomers worked up.
If you want a Bronco now (ish) get a soft top. If you want a hard top, be prepared to wait especially if you did not reserve before 3/19/21.
Specifically said those previewing the week of 10/18 won't be scheduled.
Tomorrow's emails were originally meant to cover 10/4, 10/11, and 10/18 build weeks.
Chances are these are abandoned orders. Maybe Ford dropped the ball by not requiring dealers to send these back.
"Oh, Joe Bob that ordered a 2DR RR Badlands abandoned the order? Cool, cool...Fred Bob in state X has the same build. Go ahead and send that to his dealership and we'll clear his...
Curious that the email specifically says those with 10/18 assigned build week will not be selected for scheduling tomorrow.
Seems to imply that there will be scheduling tomorrow, just not for trucks with the 10/18 build week.
Interesting admission.
Guess they're assuming future/potential customers have short memories and will forget how shitty they were.
One of the reasons I cannot understand excessive ADMs. I word of mouth and repeat business are worth more long-term than $15-20K on a single sell.
Green sticker...
Could be an abandoned order or an order waiting for pickup. Dealership my have stuck an ADM to keep people from calling about it while they're waiting for it to be picked up.
Would be interesting to see what the dealership says if someone calls about it.
