  2. Finally called Ford

Lol... I did, trust me it took a lot of mental convincing for me to walk away 😄. But she had a mod bumper, mine was ordered without one. Actually currently trying to get the dealer to swipe the capable bumper for a mod bumper. My ignorance didn't realize it's importance when I ordered it. 🫤
  3. Finally called Ford

I was thinking the very same thing... It was freaking weird. They had about seven or eight Broncos in the front lined up and only one WildTrak.. same eruption green I ordered. But It had a mod bumper. Although I'm trying to get mine swiped to a mod bumper, she wasn't mine. Lol
  4. Finally called Ford

Yeah I agree big time, The level of frustration is reaching new levels. 😖
  5. Finally called Ford

I know right? At least you got a status change, showing up as "built". Mine is still showing "in production". (Sigh) yeah it's frustrating. While I was leaving the deal of the other day, I a noticed green Bronco WildTrak extremely similar to the one I was ordering on their lot.. Even the...
  6. Finally called Ford

Sooo I finally decided to put my big boy pants on and call Ford regarding my Bronco WildTrak. Talked to my dealer couple days before she said "It's been produced, It's in finalizing stage. Almost there" I said okay I'm good with that...But I really wasn't, so today I called... Yeah, I'm a...
  7. Just my opinion

Some of us jus don't understand the logic and use of a so-called sub brand
  8. Just my opinion

Yer wife has car class....or SUV class I guess lol
  9. Just my opinion

Just my "what does he know" opinion here, I'll try to be as brief as I can. It starts with the Bronco sport, and reasons why I feel it shouldn't have been givin any name related to the full size icon legend. The Bronco sport recently has become one of the hottest sellers in its vehicle segment...
  10. Latest Bronco Production Key Commodity Constraints (7/24/23)

Well done! THAT was the explanation I was looking for! You could teach Google a few things lol. In my case for what it's worth, even when my dealer receives my Bronco I don't plan on taking delivery right away. Some dealer options like body armor, tonneau cover and soft top (I ordered both...
  11. Latest Bronco Production Key Commodity Constraints (7/24/23)

Info from all knowing Google (lol): What is a tear tag on a Ford? "The Tear Tag allows Ford the ability to identify any change made to a vehicle concerning its emission equipment, calibration or any deviation from the standard emissions configuration. It also allows any updates to be...
  12. Latest Bronco Production Key Commodity Constraints (7/24/23)

Suddenly I feel like a vegetarian having dinner at a Texas Roadhouse... I'm a bit lost and confused... Should I be? 1, My production build date was 7/19 2. I checked that Ford Module build data (as build) site and I got that long list of PCM & BCE modules that are supposedly active 3. I got...
  13. What made you choose Bronco over Jeep Wrangler?

I work for Ford, going in 35 years now. All the horror stories I've heard over the years about Jeep and they're reliability problems kept me pessimistic of ever considering ownership. Changing parent company owners over the years only reinforced my decision. But I'll admit, when the CJ7 was...
  14. It's not a perfect world

I can see where you're coming from. I got a few things similar to happen to me in the past, not sure if their related, but it's close. About 7 years ago I had my heart set on a Mustang GT, I even had a plan on building a nice down payment.. I told my dealer this with my current fusion lease...
  15. It's not a perfect world

Yes, Great minds think alike. I agree with pretty much everything you say. When I first started at Wixom assembly in '89 I only worked on the boxy shape for about a year until the new more rounded model came out the following year The press was pretty impressed. It was the first year (1990) a...
  16. It's not a perfect world

I agree. Your preaching to the choir lol. It was a lot simpler l back then. Actually I think my dad build a few of those mustangs at the rouge back in the '60s before he got transferred over to Wixom assembly.
  17. It's not a perfect world

Fellow Bronco enthusiasts, hear me out. I remember when I first started working for Ford nearly 35 years ago, It was at wixom Assembly in Wixom Michigan. We basically assembled The Lincoln line. Town car, Continental & Mark. Bear with me on this, I'm getting to something. The Town Car was...
  18. HELP a girl out!!! My Bronco got lost and then sold!!!!

Well in any case, someone commented It might be a good idea to scope some dealer lots. I've noticed lately Bronco numbers on dealer lots are increasing somewhat to offer better choice. That might not be such a bad idea. I hope you get what you want though.
