No, this is partly my fault, I was quoted MSRP when I placed the order but nothing binding.
Its not a huge deal, I think they will have a harder time than they think moving a manual for $30k ADM and I’ll just wait for an order with granger at 1k under invoice. A non-sasquatch soft top isn’t...
I was civil so they wouldn't have any ammo on me as I take every opportunity to give them poor ratings on Google/Facebook/Yelp and try every avenue to give bad feedback to ford and impact their incentive/allocations in any possible way.
Overall, it's fine, I put in an order at Granger. I don't NEED a car and refuse to pay a steep premium for a mass produced vehicle. I did a soft top build, so probably just another 6 month wait and Granger is genuinely nice, honest and helpful. The sales tax savings alone will pay for my fly and...
They sent me a build sheet with a price, but refused to honor it. Again, the dealer has a lot of bad ratings for sales tactics. They didn't want to let me use my financing either.
It is what it is, i've asked friends that are executives at Ford (Esteban, head of the Bronco program was in my...
I encourage anyone and everyone to mess with these dealers, they are extreme scam artists. I was sorely tempted to accept 5k ADM just to torch their survey ratings. I was new to the bay area and didn't do the proper due diligence to learn that this is a bad scam artist dealer.
They have the build details wrong, it's a high package, not mid (edit lol not really, it's actually mid, glad im not getting it, they missed up my order). VIN is 1FMEE5DH4MLA72582. Window sticker https://www.windowsticker.forddirect.com/windowsticker.pdf?vin=1FMEE5DH4MLA72582
This is actually my build, I tried to ask them for MSRP and they wouldn’t budge on $5k ADM. they never mentioned ADM until it was in transit, but I don’t have a signed purchase order to provide any leverage.
it’s hilarious that they are comping it to a 2.7L FE build. I think they will have a...
I don’t understand why everyone is asking for interventions from Ford or the BBB, dealerships aren’t beholden to anyone regarding the price they sell a vehicle for. It’s the trade off Ford makes when they are able to mark every vehicle that comes off the line as sold to dealers, instead of...
Don't pay the ADM. If the dealership doesn't convert 80% of reservations to the name on the reservations, they will lose out on allocations in the future. Just place another reservation at another dealer, preferably granger.
My Bronco was shipped and should arrive the 26th, but I called Fremont Ford and they are adding $5k in ADM. I didn’t get MSRP in writing so this is my fault, but I strongly recommend not putting a reservation in with Fremont. Looks like every car on their lot has ADM at this point.
I’m not...
Agreed, according to this forum, the dealer will have allocations penalized if they sell to too many non-reservation havers.
if more than 1 in 5 revolt, it will do long term damage to the dealers business.
I'm glad I work at an automaker that is trying to ruthlessly crush dealers out of existence. I'm generally against having pointless middlemen involved with expensive purchases for the purpose of job creation.
This is a super cool website! I agree, looks like bronze will work.
The badlands has the lift you need (maybe add a leveling kit) and possibly the gearing if you have the manual, but the big thing is the wheel offset. The stock badlands wheels have a +55 offset that makes the tires rub on the...
Hi all,
I have a Cactus Grey Badlands on the way and am contemplating a wheel/tire upgrade to Method MR701s+ 35" tires. I have seen the paint color in person but am wondering how it looks with bronze wheels. Google searches dont give me any useful results, even for other Ford vehicles. I'm...
Believe what you want, although I think former colleagues is much more informative than muh daddy.
Agreed. Doing this across 100k+ orders that are constrained by availability of any of thousands of parts is extremely difficult and until now not something that Ford is equipped to do. Dealers...
This take is making a mountain of a molehill. Ford didn’t screw up the bronco launch by any real definition of the word. The only dark spot is an unprecedented disruption to supply chain that is hitting everyone.
I know a ton of senior Ford execs (I work for another OEM but worked on Ford...
