It was an email from Ford telling me that my bronco has been built and they’re arranging shipping to my dealer. Technically it has been built since August 6. It doesn’t look like the airbag recall has been performed based on my VIN, so I’m not sure what to think. I may call my dealer tomorrow...
Hi all. It's been awhile since I posted here. Just received my email from Ford that my FE is shipping. I was stranded on Dirt Mountain and part of the airbag recall. Supposedly will be arriving the week before Christmas, but I'm not holding my breath. It's been a long, strange journey with...
Hi all. Been away from the forum for awhile. My Bronco saga continued - still not refunded from Metro Ford. Sales rep ignored me, so went to the GM who was a smug prick about it. I was even contemplating buying a Raptor from them too - now they won’t get any of my business, including service...
what about your BL rezzie? Didn’t go through with it? Was it the black interior that firmed you up in the FE or something else?
about your Badlands rezzie?
Uh oh. Two FE’s in the West Metro! ?. What color did you order? I technically still have time to change, but I’m pretty set on red. Blue and A51 are still in play. I might go see the A51 Bronco Sport at Morries tomorrow so I can better judge the color. It seems to be a lighter grayish blue...
This happened to me today. There are a few reasons they’re doing this. In some case it’s simply confusion and poor communication, or strong arming from Ford to get orders in quickly. In other cases, it’s to make sure their customers get delivery as early as possible. In other cases, it’s...
This is correct. Invoice is less than MSRP. And a thousand under invoice is thousands saved just by switching to a dealer. I’m willing to trade some wait time and a little hassle to save that much.
Like I said, I made a post about it earlier today so if you want all the details, go read it. But the gist is that my metro area dealer told me that they made an agreement with all dealers in the area to charge MSRP. If that’s true, it’s a no-no. The sales guy could have just been saying that...
Mine is a FE, so I’m. It sure if that impacts my place in line or not. Either way, doesn’t matter to me. I’ll get it when I get it.
I’m West Metro as well.
Add me to the list of folks who are switching. I gave up a front-of-the-line spot for this. I don't begrudge a business making a profit, but there's reasonable, and there's unreasonable. I appreciate the transparent, hassle free pricing....but I imagine that it's ruffled feathers with other...
Hi all. New member, fellow Minnesotan (by choice, but not by birth.). I live in the Metro. I had my order placed with one of the Metro dealers, but today learned that all of them have colluded on pricing (I created a post on this, that is getting a lot of interest, and Ford HQ has just reached...
Also, don't get too personal. You may think that they are making small chit-chat or taking genuine interest in who you are, but they are sizing up your bank account and what you can, and cannot, afford.
I'm sorry, but respectfully, you are very wrong. Sure, there's nothing illegal about a single dealership selling a vehicle at MSRP. But you are missing the key point here: a dealership cannot work with other dealerships in the area to agree, be it written, verbal, or inferred, on setting a...
I'm not looking to file a suit, I'll just take my business elsewhere. But what they admitted to doing, if true, is illegal.
Thanks all for the replies. This was my first post, despite being a long-time lurker. Looking forward to being a Bronco owner.
It absolutely is an illegal and unfair business practice, and is in violation of anti-trust laws that prevent competitors or separate businesses from colluding to establish pricing. It prohibits competition and is a violation of the free market. I'm not naive enough to think this never...
I have been working through my build with my local dealership. Throughout the process, they have been super vague on pricing. My sales rep is working on the build sheet this morning, and I finally forced him to have the pricing conversation. He told me that their dealership made an agreement...
