The majority of reviews Iāve read say that there isnāt much difference between the 2.3L and 2.7L, until youāre on a hill/incline. Iāll watch the videos after work.

āThe smaller engine might not have the horsepower of the V6, but itās lighter and definitely changes the feel of the truck. Making it even more agile.ā

I hear this a lot from people who havenāt driven the 2.3L. You have to remember the 2.7 only has 30 more HP than the 2.3.
As someone whoās driven both, they feel almost identical, unless youāre on a steep hill. Acceleration and speed is pretty much the same.
The 2.7L only has 30 more horsepower than the 2.3L. And when measuring 0-60 times, horsepower (and torque at the wheel), is far more important than engine torque. So the times between the two engines should actually be very similar.

Youāre forgetting the 2.3 Ranger weighs about 1,000 pounds less than a fully-loaded First Edition Bronco. And it doesnāt have to push around 35ā MT tires either.
Besides, the 2.7 only has 30 more horsepower than the 2.3. So their 0-60 times will be very similar.
Thank you for saying what everyone is thinking, but too afraid to say. A lot of good information doesnāt get shared in this forum, because people donāt want to be attacked.
Wow, congrats!! I see a lot of people getting rescheduled emails this morning. Some getting moved up, some getting pushed back. I have a 7/26 build date. And since MAP is shutdown that week, Iām hoping I get a reschedule email soon.
I think with the right driver, the right tune, and the right configurations, you could get around 5.9 seconds for the 0-60. The First Edition is fully loaded, and is pushing around the sasquatch package. Itās going to be the slowest of the trims.
The 2.7L was previously reported to get the Bronco to 0-60 in 5.9 seconds. Im sure with the right driver and configuration (less weight), this will hold true. That engine is no joke. Neither is the 2.3L. Ford did a great job engineering the power train for these vehicles.

Exactly! You hit the nail on the head! The timing seems deliberate.
This was incredibly logical and well written. Thank you! I hope others take the time to read this.
