Can confirm. I spoke to columbine today (Sam is the tech name I believe). He quoted me at one hour for 180. Beyond reasonable.
Phil long ford and castle rock both quoted me at 650 and 550. Totally insane.
Found an ASE certified tech here in Denver, willing to do the work with my car as a first. Should be somewhere for the install around $250. That keeps the warranty 100% intact as required by Ford and with the lethal performance discount on the tuner, the whole thing should cost $900.
Hopefully...
can you tell me what you paid for the install? I have a few independent ASE Certified shops doing research for me. I’m not going to install this by myself because I want zero liability if something breaks down the road for them to reject my warranty.
If I can get the install for a few hundred...
Looking to find an ASE certified tech in Denver or Colorado in general. Want to get the Ford performance tune installed on my 2.7, but the dealer close by says it’s a $650 install and will require a few days, which is crazy.
If anyone has a dealer or ASE certified tech, who’s willing to install...
I understand that the 650 is expensive but... if something breaks and they void the warranty, it could be thousands of dollars.
I watched this video where he claims a Ford dealer install or ASE Cert install will give you a 3 year/36K warranty on it:
(2:05 minutes in).
I got confirmation from my dealer that they will install it, but cost is $650.
I've emailed them to ask if it voids the warranty if I install it, but haven't heard back.
Is there ANY official documentation on self install vs. ASE install vs. Ford install?
Thanks
Right on, thanks man. I can get it for $650 from Lethal and have it installed by my local dealer.
Question: The dealer quoted me at $650 to install it... Do you know if I personally install it, does the warranty get voided or is the only way to "safely" do this, is cough up the $650 and have...
Had a 1st edition 2021 2 door... Getting friends in/out the back for skiing, etc was a total pain in the ass. Couldn't get the dog in easily either.
100% glad I got rid of 2 door and got the 4 door Wildtrak. So much more space and ease of use.
YMMV!
2023 Wildtrak, 1550 miles... Purchased with 12 miles new on her.
Used Husky torque wrench with 100LB.FT setting (Wrench does 50-250LBS).
Most of them were in the mid 80ft.lbs, but I had some on the passenger side (rear and front) start moving at 70-75LB.FT.
According to the link below...
Looking to do my first oil change sometime at the start of May. Want to install the Ronin easy oil drain plug and would love to have someone help out if available. I'll pay for your time, beer, pizza, whatever!
DM or just lmk in the thread.
Got my Wildtrak build scheduled for week of June 12, 2023.
Any idea how long the build takes, shipping and all that to dealer? A few weeks? Any insight is awesome!
