I am in Phoenix as well and was thinking about a BD - but the vinyl seats is turning me off. Way too hot in the summer and could turn into a real weapon with the top off. ;)
I always kept the floor plugs out of my Wranglers. I also had cloth in both of them and never had the top on. In Phoenix, we get a lot of dust and dirt. I would hose them off at a car wash and they were fine.
I reserved 2 Broncos - 1 at Chapman Ford and 1 at Sanderson.
I talked to Chapman last week and he said no ADM, no X plan, but fees for tint.
I talked to Sanderson last week as well. According to another post on the forum, they are MSRP, no ADM, X Plan acceptance

I think it all goes to personal preference, storage availability, and assistance. I have heard that the Bronco tops will be much lighter than the Jeeps... so this may make me consider a hard top for my Bronco.
Based on my past experience with my Jeep.. it was a PITA because I rarely put the top...
I live in Phoenix.. so we don't get much weather other than kinda hot and really hot. But I had zero problems with my soft top. It held up in rain just fine. Not sure about snow.

I have owned two Jeep JKs in the last 5 years. One with a soft top and one with a hard top. I removed the hard top on my one and never put it back on. Not to mention, they are heavy. I had to have help to remove it. I even sold the hard top and installed an aftermarket soft top to trade it in...
