Not every 2.7. Just the 2.7s built between May and Oct 2021 for the Bronco. I believe I read it was estimated about 10k or so of these were made. We have 41 documented on here so far, and only have about 10% of Bronco owners on this site, so there are probably over 400 blown engines at this...
Shop forgot to tighten the clamps for the hoses on my turbos on my F150 2.7 when they were replaced under warranty. One of the hoses blew off and the engine was very sluggish. If you tried accelerating the turbo would make a very loud whooshing noise. Maybe that’s the sound op is referring...

Remember when GM had to put out a memo to it’s employees with a list of words and phrases to avoid when talking to customers?
always, annihilate, apocalyptic, asphyxiating, bad, Band-Aid, big time, brakes like an “X” car, cataclysmic, catastrophic, Challenger, chaotic, Cobain, condemns...
My daughter was a new driver and driving the base bronco when a deer jumped in front of the car. She made the most amazing, controlled, no panic stop. My wife and I were super impressed with this and it wasn’t ‘til weeks later It occurred to me the automatic braking probably kicked in. We...
I pulled my fender flares off for the first time and there are 2 missing pins (or clips or plugs whatever they’re called). These are the pins that snap into place when you first push the flare on. Can anyone help me with a part number for it? Thanks.
Yep, grade 8. I would cut 1/2” off the bolts instead of buying shorter ones though. There may be a reason these bolts were selected. The shank (smooth part) is almost the exact length of the receiver, so the shank is in the holes of the frame and receiver instead of threads. The shank is...
Are they grade 8? Kind of hard to tell from the pictures on that post. They look like markings I am not familiar with. Are there 4 marks 8,9,12, and 3 o’clock? What are the markings on yours?
I saw another post where they used a bunch of washers because the bolts were so long.
I would be inclined to cut them or get shorter bolts.

Oh lord. You knew it was coming when the 2nd guy was trying to get in it but the RUD was way more spectacular than anticipated.
Though that is what I feel is going to happen to my 2.7 everytime I drive it.
Right now it’s volatile. They’ll drop as time goes by and the market stabilizes. I’ve been watching FE’s and in Oct they were trading in the 90-120k range then dropped to the 80k range and are now rising again into the ‘90k range.
With gas going to $6/$8/$10/the moon I’m not sure how many they will sell. Sooner or later we might stop seeing production of a lot of gas guzzlers a la 2008. I bet we’ll see a hybrid before a V8.
