For anyone else joining late, the TL/DR is
-Broncbuster announced their own portal line
-Tibus accused Broncbuster of stealing his IP, stiffing him for $28k and being a fraud.
-Tyler accused Tibus of being a fraud, says he found Tibus' source and cut Tibus out
I think we have a lot of the same concerns and I can respect that you're trying to take an objective look by removing the personality. I have a hard time doing this because, as I see it, what he has is a personality.
What I can objectively point to that backs up my claim of recklessness is...
Let's be honest, he's not designing anything. Aside from the number of gears, I doubt the guy could give you a coherent explanation of the difference between Tibus, 74Weld, Werewolf, Mark's, Axletech, DSTRAC, Mason, Unimog, H1, VW portals etc. I would be shocked if he even recognized half the...
Dude in the US imported Dynatrac knockoffs from Brazil. Axles started blowing up and Brazil allegedly ghosted. US guy changed the IG to be nothing but pictures of their broken axles. Brazil started a new IG selling the same stuff rebranded as KB Axles.
I hit up KB and of course they say...
If you guys haven't been following the DSTrac USA saga, you should check out their Instagram. Tyler should take a look too because I think he is going to learn a lot of the same lessons the hard way.
You spent 50 minutes last night telling us that the design is essentially the same minus the breather location and some other minor details.
Now its:
" However, it quickly became clear Tibus had no interest in helping us address design, performance and cost challenges and improvements so we...
You just spent the past year telling us how great Tibus portals are. Now you're saying you have to make your own portals because Tibus doesn't cut it. At the same time, you're also telling us that "your" design is the same as Tibus.
What am I missing?
Watching him struggle to comprehend this concept was painful. But at the same time, it shows that he's not a student of the game. There were something like 20 vehicles on 74Weld stuff at KOH with portal fronts and non-portal rears.
You guys act like its his IP to begin with. This guy said he's making the Tibus design but Tibus isn't involved. Buddy threw a fit over someone copying his little bushing but now its OK to just rip off someone's gearbox.
Cool video. I am going to have to go find a good speed bump because I haven't even noticed the rear end kick this kit fixes. Coming from years of driving lifted Jeeps, my stock Bronco still feels like a sports car. Is the rear end kick something that bugs a lot of you guys?
