No the prep kit would be the actual wiring and washer hose for the rear defroster , wiper, and washer. Those are just dummy plugs to connect to when the hard top is not in place.

When you remove the hard top those are connections for the rear defroster and washer hose to connect to so they don't get damaged or leak water.

I have the same issue that my middle panel is lighter than the front and the back. I am also starting to see some honey comb/snakeskin showing through the middle panel. Not as bad as the picture above, but still annoying for a $50K+ vehicle and after waiting and additional 2.5 months to take...

The seats look great! The powder coated OBX wheels look much better than they do stock. That is my plan with mine to use them a winter beaters in the near future.
