IIRC the tow package gets larger coolers and a trailer brake controller. For the minimal added cost I think its worth adding even if you never tow.
Edit: double checked. The tow package gets you a transmission cooler, larger radiator, larger cooling fan, and deeper gear ratios. For $750 I'd say...
2 things Tommy.
1. Did you try some silicon spray on the latches themselves? I have a feeling that's whats making the noise.
2. I feel its worth mentioning that not only can you get a rear locker on everything but the base. The sasquatch package is available on all trims. A 2 door base model...
Detach yourself from your username and go back through this thread. Half the posts are from you. Like I said, chill.
If you don't like TFL that's cool, ignore the threads about their videos. I cant stand most of the YouTubers that've gotten their hands on a Bronco and I *try* to ignore them.
Having to wait is a legitimate concern, chill. Don't like TFL dont watch the videos.
Besides he made multiple points where the Jeep is better or at least, better for him.
Enjoy your Bronco, let the Jeep guys enjoy their Jeeps.
Those crazy popular Toyota products only get a rear locker and nobody questions their offroad credibility.
A front locker is really only needed if you're going so far offroad body damage is inevitable. Along with tons of money going into new pinion seals, wheel bearings, ball joints, etc etc...
The other warning lights could just be because the engine died and voltage dropped (alternator no longer spinning) or some other weird thing where the computer doesn't know what's going on so it just flashes lights.
My truck is a stick shift and if I stall it, several things light up including...
Do your due diligence, check Google reviews, ask to see some of their work, go to a car show and ask around. Theres shops can fix anything and you'd never be the wiser. Theres shops thatll butcher a tail light replacement.
Good luck and thanks for the PSA!
IIRC the doors are aluminum so you shouldn't have to worry about rust. Aluminum does corrode but not at all like steel does.
Id bet a good body shop can get that fixed well enough and color matched/bleeded for a few hundred bucks.
If any of y'all are interested in letting me look at your Bronco when they get delivered I'd appreciate it!
I'm looking forward to seeing some full size Broncos around here.
1st gear, in low range, with deep axle gearing. How many times does the engine spin to get 1 tire rotation?
Off road fuel economy sucks. Is what it is.
I have a few ideas for our new broncos, but I'll be a MY 22. So, I'm looking for someone around me (the Dallas/Hiram area) with a Bronco I can go measure. I work in Kennesaw and travel around the NW area from Atlanta up to Cartersville on a regular basis.
Right now I have ideas for cupholders...
Im looking at a base with SAS, technically not available yet but we know its coming in 22.
Actual order may end up being a black diamond with SAS but Im tied between the 2. Not sure black diamond is worth the cost.
Price checked Jeep again. I want a stripped down 2 door with a hard top, manual trans, factory lockers,, and ideally a turbo engine (for elevation).
Jeep doesn't even offer that combination it seems.
But save the turbo for NA V6 and the Jeep comes out to like $7k more than the bronco.
Until...
