There is a way to turn them off in the vehicle settings. The issues is, if you have an older build, the setting doesn't work. I've been told there's a hard software update than can fix it.
I went BL Non-SAS for the extra .75" of wheel travel all around.
Also 4.46 vs 4.70 gearing isn't a big deal for me, as I plan to stay 33 or 35" (maybe eventually). If you want to go 37s someday, do the SAS for the gears alone.
I agree, the Goodyear MTs are not great tires. This was the kicker...
Spacer lifts are hard on upper arm ball joints. Ford is known for having weak upper arm ball joints to begin with. IMHO, I would never run spacers. Seen way to may broken parts caused by them.
Most people that run them also tend to run an aftermarket upper arm to fix this.
Drove a WT at Moab in June. Had about 7K on the clock.
Tires were beat up/chunked. I did hear one comment about having a hard time getting fixer parts for these. Body pieces, suspension parts, and a comment that they go through e-brake switches on the regular. People yank on them hard and break...
Looks great.
Any sensor issues? I have an early one and had a lot of trouble.
Front bumper. If you mount the winch plate after the bumper, it's a mess.
The rear bolts are impossible to get to and torque. If you need to take the winch off, the whole bumper needs to come off.
On the rear bumper...
If were looking at Shear load, the diameter gets you about a 15% increase in cross section area. So not a lot there.
But, If you run the bending load numbers, you get about a 50% increase in bending strength. So pretty good there.
Awesome trip. Absolutely beautiful country. Been up there once and it’s on my bucket list to makes it up there again.
You’re right. Up until the 1900s, copper country in the UP produced north of 70% of the copper in the world.
Part of my grandfather’s line emigrated from Norway and worked in the...

Not much will “break in”. The coils shouldn’t sag and the wear in on seals, etc should be minimal. You may get a little height difference when the cams on the arms are moved for alignment.
I've seen quite a few, even locally here in CO, that when the dealer changed ownership, to clean out the books, returned the $100 reservation deposit. Now, if the dealer did take the $1000 for a deposit at the time of order, then they likely agreed to pricing at that point.
Wish Ford would...
