  1. Vehicle until I get my Bronco

Wanted to update everyone - after looking at our finances and seeing how things could play out, it's better for us to move up there with 1 car. So I'll be selling my Tacoma before we move and I'll replace it with something up there if needed. Thanks for the help though - opened my eyes to a...
  2. $75,000 V8

Pretty much - 2.7, auto, sas, 2 door, LUX and a few accessories. You only live once and can't take money with you so why not?
  3. $75,000 V8

My BL build is $63k, what's another $12k?
  4. Alpha Wolf

Overlanding rigs are supposed to be reliable - I'd hate to have a blown head gasket in the middle of nowhere.
  5. Alpha Wolf

    Which I love.
  6. Dealer used my reservation and ordered a Bronco without my permission, on hold with Ford customer care now! ?

From everything Ford told me you won't lose your spot. I asked her worst case scenario and she said there wasn't one - you'll keep your first reservation timestamp, the timestamp is ALL that matters. I don't recall who I spoke with - it was a different girl each time I called. Both very...
  7. Photos of Cactus Gray on a Ranger

I'd rather it NOT be that green but I'd settle for that over all the other options I think. Especially with a white top. I'm holding out for hunter/moss green
  8. Interior parts swap master thread (grab handles, vent sliders, door nets)

By the time I have my Bronco, I'll be in Denver. I'll have Badlands and I'd LOVE to swap for Sandstone in any form.
  9. Dealer used my reservation and ordered a Bronco without my permission, on hold with Ford customer care now! ?

I had your exact same problem. My dealer converted without telling me. Called Ford, they said call the dealer. I called the dealer, they played dumb then tried to get me to keep my order there and told me they'd just ship it to me - I said why would I stay with a dealer that stole my order...
  10. Toyota brethren

Moving to Denver is the only reason I'm keeping my order. Up until 2 months ago we were going to stay here and I was going to cancel my Bronco in favor of restoring an old IH Scout II or some other rig. I just couldn't justify a $60k trail rig here, there's nowhere to use it.
  11. Not sure if anyone has seen this post by Motortrend

Agreed - my 4.0L Tacoma gets 20 mpg on the highway if I stretch it out. And that's wild a very mild lift and AT's, not 35's like the Bronco will have.
  12. Toyota brethren

BIG TIME. You don't realize how important reliability is when you don't have to think about it. My Tacoma has never left me stranded, even with an almost dead battery one day at work - it still had enough grunt to get it started and get me to the auto parts store to buy another. I'm blessed...
  13. Toyota brethren

If Toyota had kept the 4.0 in their new Tacomas I'd have one now and likely wouldn't even be looking at a Bronco. The 3.5 is SO BAD.
  14. Toyota Trailhunter

I'm getting a Bronco despite it being a Ford. My last 3 cars have been Toyotas and the only thing keeping me from just getting a Tacoma right now is 2 fold - the 3.5L engine has been thoroughly panned by critics and drivers AND I'm moving to the mountains and downsizing so I gave up my fun...
  15. Alpha Wolf

Not a truck, over 2x as expensive and both have about the same chance of being made in the future lol.
  16. Bronco Sport overheat

Say what you want about some of the writers there but David Tracy knows his stuff, especially with 4WD cars and Jeeps specifically.
  17. Alpha Wolf

Good to know I have a new Taco to look forward to if the Bronco winds up being crap.
  18. Alpha Wolf

They're moving the 4Runner to the Tundra platform? Wow...that's a big change. And yes, the 3.5 in the Taco, specifically with the auto trans is an absolute chud - underpowered, always searching for gears, etc. If they still had the 4.0L that's in my 2009 Tacoma I'd have a newer one for sure.
  19. Alpha Wolf

Not if it has the 3.5 atkinson like the new Tacoma. It's the sole reason I don't just get a newer taco as my interim car while waiting for my Bronco. I'll be VERY shocked if it's an EV
  20. Alpha Wolf

I was wondering the same thing. This shares A LOT of styling cues with the Bronco. That said, I get that the front - especially without the bash guard and light pods - looks kinda goofy.
