Lmk.....just curious really. I wish FORScan would add the service procedure to release the inhibit lock to their bag of tricks. I emailed the devs about it a while back ago, but they didn't respond.
It could be that the OTA failed to get the truck out of inhibit mode. Most of the time, that's what it is when a vehicle won't start after an update. There will be a very particular message on the screen when this happens, but I don't remember the verbiage. If you have PTS access, you can see...
100% with you on every point. Both of my daily driver Fords are tuned with Livernois, so if it gets wiped, I upload my new stock tune to them via the device and within a few days, they send me an updated tune at no cost. I highly doubt Ford's process will be anywhere near that quick and easy.
Yes, it will wipe the tune. I've always wondered how Ford was going to support their client base when this happens. I assume that you can just reflash the tune on it, but it will revert the PCM to the previous software strategy.
This is a known issue (known on the forums anyway) that started happening after a GWM update in 2025. To fix this, you need to disconnect the negative cable from the 12v battery for 20 minutes to de-energize the entire module network. Once you reconnect the battery and check for updates again...
I don't think the wiring diagrams you have are for the Bronco. In PTS, the 2023 Bronco only shows a 6/7 speaker system or a 10 speaker. The diagrams you have are for a 12 speaker system. See attached.
I've never seen a systematic way in how they get released. They already have the Expo, Explorer, Transit, Super Duty and E-Line order guides posted for 2027..
Oh, and you may also have to dig through this section of the ABS to disable cruise control with ACC. If you disable it in the IPMA only, you may have some incompatible config codes if it is not also disabled in the ABS.
I think you would need to disable ACC and TJA here in the IPMA:
There is no info in the Bronco or Raptor spreadsheet for the CCM, but I think disabling ACC in the IPMA would be enough. There are also settings for IACC in the IPMA that may need to be disabled if disabling ACC alone is not...
For a lease, you always negotiate the payment. Just like in finance deals, there is interest involved in a lease. However, the lease rates do not have to be disclosed to customers verbally nor on the contract, so they can sell you the vehicle under invoice and mark up the rate.
With the...
There is one reason and one reason only this would happen, and that is the update wiped the configuration for the drive modes you are missing. You mentioned in the OP that the brake booster recall was one of the things addressed in the dealer visit which means they most likely updated the ABS...
Based on the "OTA reset" procedure they are describing, it sounds like the vehicle got stuck in inhibit mode during the OTA install. It's very rare, but it happens. I wish FORScan would add a service procedure that allow owners to do this themselves.
You're right....it does have it enabled. I don't drive it enough to have ever tried to use it. Good.....one less rabbit hole to fall down through. :ROFLMAO:
Ah ok. I know how to enable it on vehicles with just an IPMA, but not sure on these. Interesting that the video posted requires a BCM change to get it to work. I would have never thought of looking for TJA in there. I'm going to try to enable it on my girl's Bronco Sport to see what happens.
