Apologies if this has already been answered. I'm assuming this rack will increase the dynamic and static load capacities, correct? The OEM rack, or more accurately the MIC top, is weak af.
I like cheap DIY mods that are useful. Nice work. I would think that over time it would start to warp and sag in the middle a little bit from weight on top. Could maybe benefit adding a strip of steel or aluminum angle to the rear edge. If they were on top it could also help keep smaller items...
Looks like Whitey60 (BRAS guy) might have gotten banned and all his posts here got deleted. Late last night he started getting a little conspiracy theorist on this thread and even said he's probably getting banned soon lol. RIP man...
Maybe then the employees getting screwed will put pressure on management to stop causing these situations 🤷♂️ is it fair to them? No. But is OP getting royally fucked? Yes and that aint fair either
Figuring this stuff out is a good learning experience and I'm realizing FB groups and DNR are going to be valuable resources for finding places to wheel in MN (other than designated ORV parks which I also plan to hit in the future).
Good find! Those videos look promising as conditions look like...
Got some advise from MN Soft Roaders. Called the Moose Lake DNR office and spoke with Lisa (very pleasant and helpful). She says the trail has not yet been groomed for the season and will not be groomed by this weekend so it is still open to ORVs. She says she will update the DNR page every...
I think the rectangle badge goes a lot better with the script than the original triangle badge. Reminds me of the old Bronco Sport emblems. Probably would look weird, but I'd be interested in seeing it placed behind the script like this:
All that said, personally, I would keep that retro look...
How dare you give me tingly watery eye feelings while I'm at work! So happy for you both! I hope you have amazing adventures in that Bronco for many years to come!
Ahh the pacific northwest. Land of no salt and stopping to chain up. I do not miss that shit.
With chains you can really only go about 35-40mps tops anyway. In a sas badlands, you probably would be just fine with throwing it in 4A, slippery drive mode, and keep your speed to about 35-40mph if...
That is surprising that normal was too much, I have it on normal now and while testing it, my tire can get all the way into the shoulder without the vehicle noticing, most times at least. I'll try high to see what that is like. I typically just keep it off anyway, but wanted to know how it...
Lol i was just testing it to see what would happen if I were to fall asleep or something. I've never driven a vehicle more attentively than this Bronco, but I still test it every other time I drive for some reason. My wife's Hyundai has amazing lane keep and literally drives itself around...
The Bronco's lane keep assist is garbage. Its like 25% of the time it actually realizes I'm drifting out of my lane and even when it does, it barely does anything to put me back in the lane, if at all.
I've been eyeing that trail for a while now too, looks like a good beginner trail with some nice scenery. I posted to MN Soft Roaders group on Facebook asking if anyone knows what that trail is like in winter. I'll let you know what I find out but I'd be in for that trail. How bad can it be? We...
Im in Brooklyn Park. I'm gonna stop at 4WP today and see what they got in stock for recovery gear, its super close to my place.
Here are a couple trails I found on the DNR page that say they allow ORVs and aren't super far away. It's kind of hard to figure out if they are still open to ORVs or...
I could be wrong, but this wasn't my understanding of built-in nav. I thought built in just means they charge you for 3 years of nav up front. The regular connected nav functions the same, but only comes with 90 day trial then you have to start paying monthly.
You've had a rough intro to this forum, OP; sorry it had to be like that. Hope you stick around. Even when certain mods arent my style, I still like seeing all the different things people do. I mean for fucks sake, there are worse mods out there than headlight colors... ahem... cha cha cha chia
