Thanks for this. I recently installed the Eibachs (love them) and am now trying to figure out wheels/tires. For now I'm going to put the MT Baja Boss 255/85/17s to get to 34.6, but eventually would like to upgrade the wheels with a lighter rim. I had my eye on the RTRs which are also under 25lbs...
I have the cPE intercooler and it's a direct replacement for factory, no need to remove the louvers or anything and mounts up to factory or aftermarket charge pipes. I installed it myself in my garage in about 30 mins.
The downside with that is that it's not as big as some of the other options...
I've got a Sunrider on year-round and did some of the hacks to make that quieter with weather stripping which helped a good bit. Then just recently got the hot head liners for the clam shell and Sunrider and it's a big difference. But now that little bit of wind noise that sounds like it's...
I saw your video with the foam. When you did the permanent mod with the rubber seal did you remove the foam or put the seal on top? Did you have to remove the clamshell to put the seal on?
I am a little jealous of all these snow pictures. I was hoping to do a top-down cruise in the snow yesterday but we only got some flurries with zero accumulation here just NW of Atlanta. If you zoom in about 10x you can see a flake or two.
I found it on a thread in the audio section on here that I can't seem to find now. My recollection is that I turned off the factory EQ (I believe it only sends a small band to the rear speakers) and changed rear speakers from tweeter to speaker.
I'm not saying it's an audiophile's dream, but...
Reviving this post to ask others who have the Safe Jack about storage. I just realized I'm going to need a better jack setup given I installed Pro Truck coilovers with about 2.5" of lift and I'm going to go to 35" tires.
For those with the Safe Jack - did you take out your mechanical jack in...
It's pretty subjective. Did you make the changes in Forscan? Many folks have said that with the factory EQ setup just changing the speakers alone is nearly worthless. I'm not sure if true, but I wonder if that was part of the disappointment.
I did it myself after the prices dropped. I believe I paid about $260 and took about 45 mins to install both in my garage with just some regular hand tools (really just trim removal tools).
