Interesting I’ve had Heims on my JKU for 7 years on the entire suspension. Control arms and all and never had what you described but I also kept them lubed since they had zerk fittings.
They might be 34.4 on paper but they aren’t that under load which is how most people talk about off road tires. A quick search shows they are normally 33.7 under load on multiple forums making them closer to 33.

As long as I want is the short answer the last 3 car/trucks I’ve ordered have been from 1-5 years each. Until something new and shiny catches my eye. I don’t look at cars as investments you only live once as far as we know so you better enjoy the ride.
