As with all businesses, you adapt to the new environment or you die. In many states dealers have successfully lobbied for laws that have given them the advantage for years. And while there are many "good" dealers, now in the days of social media, it only takes a few bad apples to ruin the batch...
I bought a bare bones Maverick hybrid (arrived in Jan) which I love, to put commute miles on and serve as pickup duty. I’ll be trading in my 2014 F150 raptor when/if my Bronco ever gets built. I think it will be a great combo.
I thought I would give the Chat a try today for the first time and low and behold, although I have not got any emails and nothing showing in the back door link, I did get a VIN and schedule date for April 25th from the Ford chat.
BTW I dropped the tow package and that seems to be what got me...
My dealer called me last week and said to drop the tow package and that would likely get me scheduled. Dealer said they could install it as soon as it arrives. So we will see if it works next round of scheduling.

Unless there is some sort of predefined claims process between the shipper and FORD, I imagine the shippers insurance company will take ownership and send it to auction where they might end up making more than they paid out in damages so yet again insurance company will make out like a bandit!
