Can someone explain like I am 5ā¦what exactly does this mean for people who were previously scheduled in March for example, and have received a vin, are they pushed back to these dates shown..? Thanks in advance.
What āhotlineā? Every time Iāve live chatted with ford they have always, without wavering, said that dealers are the only ones that can relay production date. Please provide #
To be clear, previously scheduled weeks are unaffected by new scheduling right? I.e. if you were previously scheduled for 3/7 end of January, and have not been bumped according to dealer visibility, is that affected by new scheduling?
10 is highest priority for a retail build at any dealership, 19 is lowest, ask them to change it to 10. All things being equalā¦if some guy came in today and ordered your exact build, disregarding commodity constraints/allocations, and he has a 10 and you have a 19, his is gonna get pulled to get...
First comment is accurate, if it gets a build date, then the dealer had allocation and it will get built. But also worth finding out what your priority code is on your DORA sheet (top right) and make sure itās 10-19 code. If not, ask your dealer to change.
To echo what someone else said, it really was just a perfect storm of compounding issues, that Ford then compounded again. If they would have just said from the get, āhey, weāre doing these digital reservations, they only matter for your place in line at the dealer you choose, barring any supply...
If ford would have said from the get, āhey, reservations only matter for your place in line at the dealer you chooseā, I think a lot less people would be upset about the current situation.
I believe weekly, but donāt quote me I could be totally off. Blue oval forums has a really good thread about allocations if you just Google I think itās 2nd or 3rd result.
Thatās how it was at my dealer. 15 orders and 20 something allocations. I ordered no res end of January, and they already got me a vin and a March build date. I forget the allocation formula, but I remember it seemed to favor commercial dealers with lower passenger volume, so long as they sold a...
I was kinda just joking in jest, because itās worked for several people I know, and me (hopefully here soon). But it all comes down to allocations, call and ask if they have a bunch of allocations, if they arenāt forthcoming, probably not. But itās worth a shot if they do š
Jump ship to another dealer. Magic formula:
1) Find dealer that sells a lot of commercial trucks/vans/haulers/fleet
2) sells little to no passenger vehicles.. no showroom, no common cars on their lot (think, a lot of super dutyās, connects etc)
3) call ford and have them switch your rezzy to...
What is your point? My gist to the OP was that he needed to make sure that his order was at least 10-19 and not 99d. Sounds like he confirmed that, so I donāt know what youāre getting at.
Read all my comments in this thread for the point that I was trying to make. That one comment by itself doesnāt get across what I was trying to tell OP.
