Another happy off-roadeoer here. The scenery was stunning and the guides were extremely knowledgeable and supremely patient. I've been to Moab a bunch of times for rock climbing and hiking, but this was my first time driving on terrain this challenging. The Broncos were definitely built for it...
Right there with you buddy. The only silver lining is this gives Ford time to work out their quality control issues. Who knows? By the time I get mine, maybe they'll learn how to build 2-doors....or bring AMB back...or deliver Broncos within three years of a customer's reservation timestamp.
I didn't read the article, but one thing's for certain: This ridiculous new allocation formula is turning a lot of former Ford fans into Jeep owners. These were customers they had "in their pocket" and didn't have to sell, all so they could get stock to dealerships that now have to track down...
Oh man, so happy for you! It's nice to see someone - especially an AMB enthusiast - get what they want in the color they want, and at a great price.
Gotta say I'm a little jealous. Looks great!
Yeah, would like to go down to 17s but the cost is making me think the 18s will be fine, especially if I paint them gloss black (to match the grill) or matte black (to match the MIC roof and blend in with the tires, which probably won't be shiny very often). Also looking at a similar lift/level...
I'm going with the advanced 4WD. I have AWD (I know, it's not exactly the same) on my little Suzuki and I love it on wet or icy roads, especially out here in Colorado where you're switching from wet to dry pavement so often during the winter and spring. And doesn't it add the locking rear diff...
Didn't even know this place existed, and it's not far from me.
Looks like you all had a lot of fun! I'm going to file this away under "Things I Will Never Do in My Stock Outer Banks."
It's a crappy situation all around. Ford rolled out a reservation system without understanding the public's understanding of a reservation system. Dealerships approached the reservations as sales leads, instead of reservations, because that's what they know. And they behaved as they always do...
You can also type something repeatedly into your favorite search engine and it will begin to autocomplete other people's similar searches with whatever you type.
For example, "DCH FORD OF EATONTOWN can eat a bag of dicks," or simply, "DCH FORD OF EATONTOWN sucks." So many ways to pay it forward :)
Wow, looks really nice.
- What was the total cost, if you don't mind me asking?
- Was the 2" lift necessary to squeeze in those tires? Would a 1" or no lift still accomodate?
- Are you getting a lot of spray on the doors with that poke?
Like how it matches the house too.
Dude, you have a lot of catching up to do.
People did do their research. I personally called every Ford dealership within 100 miles. None of them would discuss pricing. Only one even returned my phone call. That's why I and many others on this forum went with small dealerships that actually...
I hope this blows up in Ford's (and Levine's) face. With the high price of the Bronco plus ADM, the final price is going to get steep and I think most people willing to put down that kind of cash are looking for a lot more luxury in their vehicle than what the Bronco has to offer.
And yes, Mike...
