  10. 2.7 Oil Pan Capacity Answered

No... Ford said we can run 7 qts.... so your theory or proof that it's intended to hold 6 is VOID... I don't care about the F150.... I believe the Bronco as shown in the pics will hold 7 it is not a problem... the crank shaft in nowhere close to the oil in the pan so there is no problem of...

  15. Rest your Turbos when you park before turning off car?

Keeping your boost up.... like pulling a heavy load... or keeping your foot in it and then shutting your engine off without idle time... a lot of boost will create heat.... just like running a tractor at full throttle for a period of time.... it needs to cool down....
  16. Rest your Turbos when you park before turning off car?

  17. 2.7 Oil Pan Capacity Answered

Correct... but the real debate is the 6 or 7 qt. amount.... as for me I think it was to be 7 qt all along... just Ford didn't want to replace the dip stick... so they change the amount to 6 qts...

looks to me the rotating assembly is a long way from the oil..... Ford 2.7 Ecoboost Oil Pan Replacement (Complete Guide) - Bing video
  19. Dealer insists it’s 6 quarts for oil change on my 2.7L

Right... the counterweights and connecting rods do not come in contact with the oil in the pan... 7 qts are fine and so is 6 qts if you want to run less than 7..... if the pan is sealed it does not matter if the oil is above or below the gasket sealing surface....
