  1. Moab Trip Photos - Thanksgiving '24

nice pictures! Wife and I did the Bronco off roadeo this year, and yeah we’d like to go back. We have a BD too, and from WA state. Did you put bigger tires on yours? Love the steelies!
  2. Nitto ridge grappler 38x11.5r17?

Yeah , just thought of another consideration: procal only goes to 37 inch tires I believe, maybe Forscan can go more; otherwise the speedometer will be off slightly
  3. Nitto ridge grappler 38x11.5r17?

I have a 23 non-SAS BD, that I want to upgrade with Bilstein 6112s (bought, not installed yet ) and the 35x11.5 Nittos, which fits on my BD steelies. I’m still leaning towards 35s, but I just saw on Nitto website there is a 38x11.5 tire that would also fit my wheels and the extra height is...
  4. Procal and tune update release notes?

Hey all, Got the procal performance tune for my 2.7 (really awesome btw) and installed it a couple weeks ago; threw the device in my office closet. On a whim, I took it out again, plugged it in to my computer; and there seemed to be an update to the procal software already, and seemed to also...
  5. Moab Off Roadeo Lodging Advice (Red Cliff’s main lodge and restaurant are closed)

We stayed at the Hyatt’s place; just below the sunset grill. We liked it, as it’s north of the rest of Moab, so Arches National Park was a short hop away. https://maps.app.goo.gl/WFyC8zqtAaacNaJ99?g_st=ic
  6. CarbonSteel's 2023 Wildtrak Build + Maintenance Journal (Filters, Fluids, Oil Changes Etc)

Hey @CarbonSteel thanks once again for your guides - got the ford perf diff cover installed I had 6k on it, and I was surprised at how dark the fluid was! Glad I did it. Did front, transfer case, and now rear diff. Next, have to get that PPE pan for the automatic transmission, and figure that out.

    The PNW Bronco Group

    Such a fun trip!
  8. Shifting in neutral chimes (for driveline fluid changes, etc.)

Cool thanks. My thinking for neutral was to have the gears disengaged, so fluid can more easily lubricate everything. At least for the automatic transmission fluid change (that one seems more involved if one must drop the pan!). But it sloshes around a bunch at first use anyways, and I don’t...
  9. Shifting in neutral chimes (for driveline fluid changes, etc.)

Hi all, Probably another obvious question, since I'm new to doing my own maintenance tasks (but liking it so far!). Many of the instructions in the service manual for driveline tasks, say to "shift into neutral". When I try that, the car chimes seemingly endlessly that the Bronco is off and in...
  10. Added front + side cameras using NAViKS

Yes the device goes between the screen and the rest of the dash essentially. The Naviks folks can answer other questions you might have. I had the 8” screen model, so could be some things are slightly different.
  11. Tools to remove transmission/diff/transfer case drain plugs

I happen to have a 3/8” torque wrench that goes down to 5ft lbs, the service manual says 18, at least for the t-case plugs, so this is perfect 👍 Always a good reminder though.
  12. Tools to remove transmission/diff/transfer case drain plugs

Dumb, but hopefully a quick question: what size/type socket is used for removing the drain and fill plugs for the transfer case, etc? Going to try doing this myself, and I don’t think I have the socket needed. looks square and what 10 mm? Thanks!
  13. Much needed "Enhanced Window Operation" OTA software update now installing

Do you hold the door from opening a split second before actually it open? The windows have to clear the seal, and just yanking the door open doesn’t give the window time to lower the inch first. Which causes the window to weaken.
  14. Wolfbox g900 mirror dash cam with off road video - install and review

Yes, I have the wolf box 900 too. I stuck the rear camera on top of the rear taillight. Been fine ever since. Perfect views out the back, done those manual car washes, etc. do have to clean it off occasionally.
  15. Northwest OHV Park :: Bridgeport :: BD Non-SAS :: Bilstein 6112 2"

Awesome, did you install the 6112s yourself?
  16. BILSTEIN SHOCKS Destroyed

Are those the OEM ones? I hear Ford bid them down for cost. I have non-SAs, was hoping to go with their 6112s
  17. What Would YOU Do?

Point taken, maybe I don't, if it's not a full rock crawler. 35s might be enough for the trails I've rode with friends on (and had to skip doing myself). But that's my inexperience with it; you just mentioned you'd want 37s on a 4dr. So why would you? I assume to get the better breakover angle.
  18. What Would YOU Do?

Love all the information! Still planning for me, and I’ve never done these sorts of heavy mods before (would like to learn some of this myself) I have a 4dr, and was thinking 35x11.5/17s, to keep the BD steelies. Now, though, I’m wondering about 37s. Would you use the max clip setting on the...
  19. Suspension Upgrade Input

I’d like to! I’m not seriously rock crawling yet, feel I have to upgrade a few things and it’s all new to me. love your build thread btw, thanks!
