Drive shaft arrived and should be good to go Saturday… need to know if it still possible to tag along with a group even if the eventbrite link shows no openings. Thoughts?
I am hoping to go, that is if the dealership gets my replacement drive shaft. Despite being a build date outside the boot failure range (ends sept 21 2021, my build is sept 29) they confirmed what I already knew, boot failed, lost grease, joint failed.
If I don’t see ya there, have a great...
My build date is sept 29th and I DEFINITELY have the issue.
- Rumbling / noise at just over 50
- Crawled under confirmed boot is cracked, wet and the shaft moves up and down
- video attached (maybe)?
Called dealer to schedule. Was hoping they could pre order the shaft but was told they have to...
Just to add, I noticed a slight squeak at around 40 or so for a few weeks… assumed it was something between backing plate and rotor and planned on looking it over at some point.
But now recently I have also been noticing a rumble at highway speeds. Seeing this thread and the upcoming TSB I...
^^^^ I have the same question. There are some saying that installing one of these upgrade options could simply transfer the issue to the steering rack. So if I damage my steering rack, will Ford deny the claim saying I modified the steering system and caused damage? It seems to me they would...
Joined (well, join pending) I have been to Rausch once and AOAA twice and loved them both. Super lucky having these places only an hour from my house. Only thing keeping me from going more often is the post wheeling clean up. :-)
OMG!!!! Had I only known about this! Looks like it was a blast!
There is a Northeast Trail Rides Connections group here on Bronco 6G which seemed to be the perfect place to post these types of outings. I posted there about a trip to AOAA and had only 1 or 2 replies and wound up meeting up...
I think I have 1 other Bronco and 1 or 2 jeep people possibly lined up for tomorrow. I plan on being in the lot by 8:30 so I can get signed in and be ready for 9am gate open. Text or look for me Dark blue bronco Plate: BUCKIN
I was hoping early. Basically get there, sign in and hit trail when gate opens but I really have no hard fast timeline, pretty flexible.
There are also 1 or 2 others with jeeps on the AOAA Facebook page possibly going on the western (easy) side as well.
text me - 484-866-7105 and we can sync up

Heading out to AOAA on Sunday, July 24th.
Posting as an event (hope that’s ok admin) because I was hoping there might be some interest in this group Instead of just trying to meet up with random people in the parking lot.
