I'm guessing no one has heard anything about the OTA update for the EBB, but I figured I'd ask. Last I heard the update was supposed to come out in Sept..
Id put in a new fuse and see if it blows. If it doesn't, try blinker, check fuse, lights, check fuse, brakes check fuse (without a trailer). If that all works, then plug in a trailer and repeat to see when it blows.
Those fuses are cheap and maybe while installing you shorted by accident...
If you start it, does it give you the standard warning about the door not being connected or all the airbag and other errors that show up when it thinks the door is connected but it really isn't. If you get all the errors, the grounding pin isn't working on some door and may need to throw some...
Check state law, but if you start the lemon process (and you should at least start the process) the mileage on the car the day you file it is what is used to calculate the car value, or what Ford owes you. I had to do it with another car here in GA and I waited losing out on money in my pocket...
well that blows.. i've seen the thread on the struts a while back and now this on the rail step. i was planning on picking these up when mine came in, but perhaps I just need to go with a full replacement rail.
please let us know how it goes with IAG.. watching.
Customer Order Verification Program. Ford wants dealers with orders to hit some percentage, think it was 80%, of order name to buyer name. If they don't, they are penalized from Ford by lower allocation of prime vehicles (Lightning, Bronco, Mach E, etc). So if dealers make false orders, don't...
So with COVP coming and the anticipated $1k deposit required to maintain your order to 2023MY, everyone should be getting a signed purchase order. I assume there would be language in there requiring a refund of the deposit, but it would really suck for a dealer to not honor a purchase contract...
@orion
My bad, not reading straight...
I was reading the big bold and left out words apparently :(
https://www.gearshade.com/product/4-door-bronco-mesh-top/
" HARDTOP NOTICE: Our hardtop version will require drilling into the twist-locks (not the top itself) on your hardtop front panels."
oh yea, got mod bump too..
based on following orders for a long time, it seems tow is one of the major constraints. Its always on orders taking a long time and I've seen similar orders as mine from late 21 w/o tow processed. I just wanted it so I can tow a small camper if I want. If I'm...
I'd go with a cheapo first and if it was that bad, then go with gearshade or jtops. If you have 300+ to spend on a bimini, you have $50 to drop on a cheap test.
Personally, I'm not putting a strong velcro on the clear coat/paint (jtops) or drilling for gearshade (req for hardtop)
1/27, BL, sas, lux, hard top, tow. Ordered from Krause. They never call back or email, so no idea where I am in queue since ordering has been dealer allocation thus far (and yes, constraints). Called Ford a month or so ago and was unscheduled/clean. Expected about a year wait, but it would nice...
do you want off road trailer or regular trailer to park at national parks, state parks, etc?
Off road you'll most likely be looking at teardrop or similar in size (small) as the heavy duty construction (suspension, wheels, side walls, hitch, etc) eats up the curb weight.
If you are looking to...
note that flat towing brakes do not currently work without a special sequence that includes pulling fuses on Broncos with the 2.7 engine. The 2.7 utilizes EBB/Electric Brake Boost (2.3 still uses vacuum) and after the BMS/Battery Management System puts the car to sleep after 10-20m and the...
What is the world coming to that we need to use these devices in cars and AirBnBs? At least with our phones/computers its mostly AI computers figuring out what to sell/advertise to us and not some demented person watching/listening...
I was thinking why not just install a battery disconnect switch, but if you did I guess you'd lose all settings if they are not written to storage somewhere in the vehicle. If all the settings were, that may be easier.
I wonder why you need to wait 5 min before disconnecting. Seems it would...
I did like this one from hammer that I haven't seen anywhere else; antenna and rotopax mounts in addition to the support. Hammer also has conical inserts for the tailgate screws so the support is not directly on the hinge so there shouldn't be any scratching up the paint. As far as how effective...
I'm hoping my wireless stick to the steel bumper and don't have an issue. I'm also paranoid by default and usually tie them off with strings to be sure I don't lose them.
If you have a tow hitch, perhaps you could have a T based contraption and hook up lights to either side of the T as well.
Grant did a bunch of testing and outside hitting the fob every few minutes the only way to keep EBB enabled is to go into forscan, disable shed the timer (or change timer duration, which we did not try but makes sense) and leave ACC on after enabling tow mode. If you change the timer to a...
FYI, while the one above turns off the timer, you may not want to do that. There is another value that will save you from killing the battery, a low battery SOC (state of charge) that will/should engage before battery is dead:
Shed_LowSOC_Enable_Cfg (SLSOCEC)
