  1. 9/13 Build Date, where are my people??

EDIT: My dealership just confirmed that I've been moved to the week of 10/11/2021. I called the 800-334-4375 number and they couldn't give me *any* build date information. They just show it in "order processing." I have a VIN and an order number and an email from Ford stating that my build is...
  2. 9/13 Build Date, where are my people??

I'm currently scheduled for 9/13. Switched to a soft top a couple months ago and got my "scheduled to be built" email last Thursday (8/19). I was fairly far down the allocation list for the Texas Group Buy (even though I was a middle-of-day 2 reservation holder) so I was stunned to get a VIN (I...
  3. Enough of the bad news…what’s your alternate build????

Like a few others, I’m considering the Chevy Colorado ZR2. I would get the Bison package and then do whatever I gotta do to get to 35’s. Itā€˜s got great styling, great capability, and I could safely tow something that has a bathroom! Jeep Gladiator Rubicon is a fairly close second. I’m gonna...
  4. Went by Jeep today…

XTreme Recon package also available only on Rubicon models while Ford lets you Sasquatch any Bronco. Not yet announced as available on the Gladiator, either. Still, it’s good to see Jeep having to up their game.
  5. Went by Jeep today…

Flew into Las Vegas a couple of months ago, rented a Jeep (not a Rubicon) and drove over to the St. George area in Utah. Did some easy off-roading (since it was a rental) for a few days around Hurricane, Zion, etc. I was surprised at how well the Jeep did on the pavement/highway. Didn’t notice...
  6. Sub 2k lb camp trailer to tow with Bronco?

If I were going to pull the trigger today, I think I would go with the Sylvan Sport Go for a camper to pair with the Bronco. Extremely light. Affordable. Lots of flexibility. Easy to transport bikes, eBikes, kayaks, etc.
  7. Sub 2k lb camp trailer to tow with Bronco?

A possible option is to order the narrow 10-ft trailer from this place: https://dunesport.com/ The narrow 10-ft version starts off at just a hair over 2,000 lbs and base price is around $19,000. If you add a refrigerator, stovetop, pass-through storage, etc, the dry weight can climb to up...
  8. CEO Farley says Ford was able to offset almost all chip shortage impact

I sometimes think too many of us are incapable of holding two competing thoughts in our head at the same time. That leads to a lot of hand-wringing, weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth — and that clutters too many threads. The way I see it, we can rightly criticize Ford in some areas while...
  9. Wow...Just got back from SuperCel

Nice video of the trail turn assist being used where it’s actually needed. Seen a lot of video of that corner from inside the Bronco but it’s useful to see it from outside. Maybe those dreaded switchbacks on Black Bear Pass will be easy-peasy in our Broncos.
  10. šŸŽ„ 2021 Bronco Badlands Off-Road Test [Can It Wheel? By Lite Brite]

Enjoyed the video. Enjoyed seeing knowledgeable people geek out a little regarding the Bronco. I also thoroughly enjoy Lite Brite! Fellow Texans (to the degree they live anywhere), for one thing. Good content, learn a little something, see something scenic, laugh a little. Can Britney get a...
  11. New vid of Marine Grade Vinyl (MGV) interior in 2021 Bronco Badlands

I enjoyed the video for what it is. Don’t care about the source. All the hate on BN and OBL is annoying in that it often hijacks these threads. Hate ā€˜em if you want but exercise a little self control so those of us that just want to take in information don’t have to sift through pages and pages...
  12. On Board Air? Power tank verses ARB twin compressor. Opinions Please

Just spent just a tad under $300 ordering a 20lb tank (comes with a handle) and all the individual parts to make my own DIY version of the PowerTank (25-ft hose, regulator, connections, mounting solution, air chuck, etc.). Won’t look quite as cool but it’s a fair amount cheaper than the name...
  13. 2021 Bronco final allocation numbers going to dealers

Yup. I could definitely be happy with the 4xe. That hybrid setup is cool and capable. I think I’ve taken the last groin shot from Ford (and the pandemic) that Iā€˜m willing to take. If I find out my MY22 is gonna be a MY23, for example. Or my MY22 won’t show up until 3rd or 4th quarter, 2022...
  14. 2021 Bronco final allocation numbers going to dealers

Positive spin if you’re like me and ordered on day 2 but still (probably) getting pushed to MY22: more time to sock money away for a down payment = more equity and a lower payment locked in MY21 prices for a MY22 (not sure how far that goes, but still) wonā€˜t have to worry about GVWR as much...
  15. 2-Door Black Diamond Walkaround by Dominic Pericak

Thumbs up to the kid for giving useful, short videos. I happen to like the music just fine. If you aren’t the target audience for the genre and/or his specific selections, you’ve got choices: mute or move on. No need for sniping. Some people need to learn to play nice on the internet.
  16. Lightweight Overlanding Camper/trailers ideal for BRONCO

I know places like Quartzite have a 14-day limit before you would need to relocate. That may be true for all BLM locations.
  17. Hot sports opinion alert...Badlands Sasquatch badge is the best

As soon as I saw the title of this thread, I assumed you were from the Dallas area. #KTCK Regarding the badges, I like the BL but I have to sometimes force myself to see the skull (to avoid seeing something else). The Sasquatch seems a bit of an afterthought, though. Still, I tend to agree with...
  18. Will MGV interior withstand pouring rain and wet outsides overnight?

Others have alluded to a cover that can protect things in a pinch. Something to consider. https://www.mywetwilly.com/
  19. Theft Prevention...

Recently had my window smashed on my truck while my wife and I went biking in Kerrville, TX. It was in a fairly well-trafficked park so I’m sure it was a very quick smash and (attempted) grab. Been researching window treatments that would slow a thief down in that scenario (and reduce the shards...
  20. CACTUS GRAY THREAD!!!! if you’re choosing cactus gray lemme know. I think it’s the best color available at the moment.

A51 was my wife’s first choice (having seen it in person in Townsend, TN) until we saw CG in person. Can’t go wrong with either color. We decided CG would be less common than A51 and since we like both, why not be a little different? As you say: ā€œHappy wife, happy life.ā€ Best wishes for your...
