I ran kickers in the kick panels and shallow mount infinity in the mabett pods. Haven’t noticed any issues with muffled sound with the infinity. Using a reactivated factory sub location for bass so I also wasn’t needing the pods to drive a lot of bass. Also didn’t see your amp setup. Kicker...
I have both of these (plastic & mod as I switched bumpers) and they are excellent and solid. This is what the dealers should have been using in front plate states instead of drilling the trim.
I am in Mass as well and got tired of waiting for one to appear in the for sale forum, take offs seem to be rarer in the Northeast. I ordered the Ebay bumper, which amazingly showed up in like 5 days from China with the customs stickers and everything. I've not looked close at a factory...

I did the Asfir with the plastic bumper on my obx. Very clean install. I believe it could be modified (aluminum is pretty easy to cut) if you ever upgrade to a steel bumper as well.
Couple weeks late here but sounds like you have a May build. I bought off the lot at Franklin , 23’ OBX. Slight ADM. They will insist on dealer arranged financing. You can save the difference by refinancing after a payment or two, they will lose the juice on the loan. I don’t know how this...
