My 2.3L has started to make the chirping noise <20MPH. Indeed it is the transfer case end driveshaft boot. Specifically the narrow section mid-bellow that helps center the boot and rides on the driveshaft. Not sure what the long term solution is considering the need for some degree of plunging...

For those that have removed M210 front half-shaft CV axles, which tool(s) worked best to remove them from the differential, ….besides common pry bars.`

One would really want to have amber signals for the work involved. Study Ford shop manuals. Given mfg’g variations, it’s plausible some halogen models may already have the BCM turn signal wires routed to the tail lights. - enclosed are photos of the BCM pin #s; there are multiple connectors...

With extra effort you could add pins/wires to the BCM for the dedicated amber left/right turn signals, and the run wires to the rear tail lights. Did the same process upgrading an F350 to OEM LED headlight modules. It is delicate work disassembling the connector top and adding pins.

New tail lights w/amber turn signals 1. Can we presume they will be drop-in compatible to OEM signature-lighting tails w/no Forscan mods ? 2. Any ETA on when they can be ordered or pre-ordered ?

PHOTO above by ramble makes sense. Mine installed the same. It provides most clearance for Icon’s coilover when the steering tie rod is hard-over (retracted). May be irrelevant if not using Icon coilovers (which have a low spring bucket mount)

Well though out outfitting plan. Similar with a milder build plan for another E.G. Badlands (but a 7-spd) for primarily NV mining roads. 35x11.5 Nittos/B-Rhino Fuji rims, Icon non-remotes /aluminum UCAs. Icon tie rods & B’Buster on both ends of the steering rack & dual ARB pump already...

Thanks for the good info. I see the wiper motor has a multi-pin connector, and noted HW & SW revs marked on the motor. To your knowledge, is the wiper motor SW updatable, or is it low level s/w that is fixed in the motor assembly.

A challenge to parts book sleuthers…. The load-current sensing circuitry is sporadic on a nominal % of motors. Perhaps the current sensing was implemented to use a smaller/cheaper wiper motor. Very remote chance, but could the wiper motor potentially be swapped out for a ‘non-smart’ motor...

Any feedback on the Spicer 29-spline M210 extreme half-shafts. Striving to swap half shafts at same time as coilovers. Bronco RCV availability appears MIA, no longer listed in their catalog. Anyone installed the Spicer units with positive results ? ? ? At least one bad Spicer experience cited...

Blowing out grease is bad news. Spicer CV shafts were on my list. Can you elaborate on the ‘given up altogether‘ failure ? where the joints still stiff or sloppy loose ?

Installed the Icon tie rods, along with b’buster parts on each end, on a stock Badlands with _stock 55mm offset wheels_. FYI - the passenger side had tight clearance. Perhaps due to a stack-up of manufacturing tolerances, at full turn steering, the tie rod barely hits the clip-on wheel...

Personal preference is an option for a normal round billet lockout. Not digging this asymmetric lift-collar design with the large forward facing tab.

Echoing two prior comments: 1. I applaud the captured delrin bushing design for the pinion/rack, but IMO, it must have either a dynamic pressure (aka Pinion spring preload), _or_ an end-customer-viable method to adjust the fixed-lash to account for tens & tens of thousands of wear miles. 2...
